Are your results usually affected during tom?

Thanks
Yes, it does for me. But let me add this. I used to be on WW and now I am on JUDDD. I find that a critical point for me was to get over my fear of the number on the scale. While it's the measure we all use, and I am not denying that it's important, it's only one of several when it comes to weight loss.
I decided with JUDDD that I was going to use the scale to get to understand my body more--not be afraid of it. So now I weigh myself daily, not to get frustrated or seek out pain in my life, but to figure out the cycles of my own body. How it responds to stress, salt intake, exercise, sleep, TOM, hormonal cycles and other factors. It's more like a scientific approach, which helps me detach from all the negative, self-condemnation I can get into when the scale disappoints me.
Like everything else in my life, this is a process.
Good luck!

My weight goal for January is below 150

Week One
151.5 01-01 Sun – UD
153.1 01-02 Mon- DD
151.1 01-03 Tue – UD
152.0 01-04 Wed– DD
151.1 01-05 Thu – UD
150.9 01-06 Fri - DD
150.1 01-07 Sat – UD

Week Two
151.5 01-08 Sun – DD
149.8 01-09 Mon - UD (woo hoo ... now let's see if it sticks)

I might want to go down to 145 or a little lower. I'd like it very much if when I go to the doctor and get weighed they don't have to move the poise over to the 150 mark. Of course it doesn't help that they weigh with clothes and shoes on not like I do in the morning, after going and nearly naked.

i'm not a goal oriented person, really, other than a specific weight to be achieved whenever it happens.

1/9/12 - MD - 132.4 (had a stomach bug yesterday so am going to keep it lighter and not a full UD)

4.4 lbs down so far this month, really hope this momentum keeps up.

My 39th birthday is in 5 days and it would be so great to start 39 no longer officially Obese (189 is the weight I need to be to no longer have a BMI of obese)

I am so glad to see you post your thoughts on weight fluctuation and all the myriad reasons for it that are perfectly normal! I suppose it is to be understood that, as a group, people who find the need to be on a weight loss site will be very concerned with scale numbers, but it's nice when we can bring ourselves to be only little concerned about numbers and focus more on sizes instead. LOL

I posted once about all these weight fluctuations being something that a lot of people are completely oblivious to. They are just naturally slim, regardless of what and how they eat, and so they rarely step on a scale. They are completely oblivious to all of the fluctuations of a few pounds their bodies experience, most often thinking instead that their weight just stays the same all the time without effort. If they were one of us, they'd see a water weight gain of a few pounds and find it terribly upsetting. LOL They hardly know it's happening except for maybe having a harder time zipping up their tight jeans once a month.

Weight fluctuation of a few pounds, up or down, is completely normal, and is the way a body manages itself as is needed, so when we can become pretty comfortable with that knowledge and just focus on the overall average of our weeks as we truly lose body fat over the course of our diet, we'll be a lot more relaxed and a lot happier. Just my thoughts.

hey, pat...thank you for the hugs.

i stopped hHCG after a week. i have come to the conclusion that when i go too long without fat i really start to get toooo focused on food in a not so nice way. it's not worth it. but, all holiday weight is gone, so that was my main goal. i would still like to drop 4-6 more pounds. just praying for patience for that to happen with JUDDD and for the ability to better control portions on UD's until i get closer to my goal. counting on DDs doesn't bother me, but it just doesn't work for me on UDs....i simply need to be more mindful to enjoy without overdoing it.

noah is doing well. radiation still clicking along...will be done towards the end of jan. thank you for asking about him.

i'm not a goal oriented person, really, other than a specific weight to be achieved whenever it happens.

1/9/12 - MD - 132.4
1/10/12 - DD - didn't weigh this morning, only weighing after DDs
1/11/12 - UD - 133.2

thinking my weight on the 9th may have been a false low as it was the day after being sick the day before with diarrhea and all. so am wondering if i regained lost fluids on my MD? maybe? i know that mon and tues were both very good days food wise, so that's all i can think of as to why my weight is higher than before. i *feel* good...as in slimmer. sooo....will just keep doing my thing.

Sorry to hear you were a bit ill. I didn't know that. And, yes.. I expect you had just lost too much fluids and were quite depleted.

Yeah, regardless of the number on the scale, JUDDD is a way of eating that will promote a lot of great benefits to our current and ongoing health, and a pretty pleasant plan, so a nice one to be on, and.. as you say.. you just get there when you get there.

Have a great day today!
