Contemplating moving into a higher % range
I just reworked my calculations on the JUDDD site to figure out what my caloric intake would be if I increased from 20% on DDs to 25%, 30% or 35%.

I'm wondering if anyone has advice. I obviously want to stay in weight loss mode, and am curious to know if anyone has increased their DD calories and why?

I'm really thinking more about my upcoming trip and if under 500 calories will be doable on the road and in Vegas where I can't really cook. :dunno:

Anyone have experience, or did you mostly stay at 20%?

I'm not sure truthfully - I know when I go on holiday - my DD are going to have to be 35-45% - the meals are half board!

You're not away for long - why not give it a go - and then return to normal DD levels?

I started and stayed in 35%...and I only had 14lbs to lose. I lost weight steadily, at a lb or 2 a week, and found it much more doable!

I started out my first couple DD at 45%, then went down to about 35%. The lowest I ever got was about 25% but I only did that a couple times. Mostly I did 30 - 40%.

In maintenance, I do up to 45% if I need it.

Thank you for the responses. I think I'll try to stay around 500, but not get too worked up if I go up to 800, which is 35%. I think I can do that with eating out and making healthy choices as well as having very low cal snacks with me.

I started between 40% and 45% which gave me 700 calories. I never went over and most times was under by 50 or so calories and I lost just fine. If I had started at 20% my DD calories came in at 345 and there was NO way I would have made it pass the first DD. It was Pat's suggestion I up my DD calories, God bless her, and the rest is history! :jumpjoy:
