Free day for me so my menu is anything and everything
I am going to try to limit my portions, though, because on Holidays, I tend to eat until I'm overly stuffed and uncomfortable! On the menu - Appetizers - cheese and crackers, baby quiches, french bread and spinach dip, veggies and dip, little smokies in bbq sauce, baked brie. Dinner - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, yam casserole, green beans. Dessert - pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and cookies. ![]() |

Free day here and its been a mess. I went to have a grandbaby last night and they sent her home. I ddnt get home and get to bed til 3am. Got up at 7 and put turkey on and started working from there. Didt finally sit down til lunch was done and the family was all here. I couldn't even eat. I was too tired and just worn out. I was picking thru the morning tho taste testing and stuff and had 2 wine glasses of homemade eggnog. I finally ate about 3. A real meal anyway. I did a damn god job. The food was excellent. My daughters water broke about 5 so here I sit waiting for a christmas baby girl. I can't even go see her. She lives an hour away and if I tried to go I would kil myself. I'm just too wiped out. I feel like crap. I'm so swollen and puffy. You would not believe. I can't wait for my dd tomorrow. I'm gonna make myself eat a piece of pecan pie later tho...lol. and I'm waiting for pics of my nw grandbaby.

Ok, so it turned out to be more of a FD than an UD...
I am SO looking forward to my DD tomorrow. Not gonna get panicky. I'm expecting a gain on the scales tomorrow. I not only went well above my calories, I also had one dessert item that wasn't low carb at all. ![]() |

UP for me. Although I think it was more like a FD. I didn't really eat any much I think I shouldn't, I did have a good part of a bottle of wine or so. So we shall see. I'm not going to kick myself because I could have done much worse.

Next year we swear we are going to get Stoffers lasagna, garlic bread, and salad so we can actually have more time enjoying each other's company. My late grandmother once said, "I'd rather have a relaxed host than a fancy meal." She was so wise I bet I ate close to 3500 calories today. I didn't want to get overstuffed but I did! I will be loving my down day tomorrow. I'll make a pot of homemade vegetable soup with leftover turkey. Or maybe cabbage, laughing cow, and turkey. It was a great Christmas but I am happy it's over.

My UD turned into a FD. First time I've gone over, but I'm hoping it won't affect me too badly. So ready for DD!
