How should I do Christmas?

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I will be doing UP days!

So when Monday & Tuesday the 26 & 27 comes I was planning to do 2 days of DD!

What do you all think?

What are your plans?

:dunno::dunno::dunno:

dasiey 12-19-2011 09:51 AM

For me
12/23 dd
12/24 md
12/25 ud
12/26 dd

oneoftwo 12-19-2011 10:10 AM

My plan is dd for x-mas even since we are having fish for dinner and it is low calorie, I will just make dinner my only meal pretty much

UD for x-mas

janetsbreeze 12-19-2011 10:11 AM

That's my plan too, although I will be out of town for 12/23 so that's gonna be a challenge.

I think two DDs in a row would be really hard.

I'm keeping my regular schedule which puts Christmas Eve as a DD and Christmas Day as an UD.

I've read several places that you should NOT do two DDs in a row. I would suggest trying to make one of those a MD or just do your two UDs, then go back to a DD/UD rotation.

piratejenny 12-19-2011 10:43 AM

As far as I know, doing 2 DDs in a row is never recommended!

Either do 2 UDs in a row and get right back on rotation, or if you just have one special meal planned on Christmas Eve, eat DD for breakfast and lunch, then enjoy your evening party or dinner! :)

SlowSure 12-19-2011 10:48 AM

My 2 weeks induction ends on Christmas Day :)

So:
23 UD
24 DD
25 UD
26 DD

I feel it would be too soon to start deviating from the pattern of alternate days as it will be so hard on the heels of finishing the induction: I might go to 500-550 cals on DD for the 24th & 26th rather than keeping to the present DD 320-350 cals.

Dottie 12-19-2011 10:53 AM

Personally I'd do very low-cal or fasting other than the Christmas eve then Christmas day meals and I'd keep those in check as far as sugar goes. That's just me:)

MintQ8 12-19-2011 10:59 AM

We're planning

23 UD
24 MD (most calories in a 5 hour period in the evening!)
25 FD
26 MD (most calories in a 5 hour period in the evening - unless hungover!!!)
27 UD
28 DD (difficult as I'll be staying at a friend's house!!)
29 UD
30 MD (lunch out with good friends - then planning on intermittent fasting until dinner the next evening!!)
31 FD (but only in the evening!!)
1 MD (dependent on hangover!!)
2 UD
3 DD - and back to normal!!!! Yay!!

this will only mean a proper DD 2 times in 12 days - but on the MD days I'll try to eat less!!!!

Doubt I'll lose too much over this time - but if I don't gain that'll be excellent!!

However, we go away for a week's holiday on the 7th - so we'll be having a few more higher DDs!

:goodpost:This is me, too. I will do a good DD on Monday, UD on Tuesday (as is my normal rotation) and then a MD on Wednesday to bring New Years Eve back up to a UD and then will continue with my rotation from there with New Years Day being it's original DD.

I could NEVER do 2 DDs in a row, I'm not that strong! :o:laugh:

Yes to everything here.

Don't ever do 2 DD in a row, even if you think you've been "bad" and need to do it to try to make up for it. It will work against the body, so don't do it. Don't do 2 DD in a row.

I will be doing two UD (actually FD since I'm in maintenance) - Christmas Eve and Christmas.

You could either do the two UD in a row or make one of the days an UD, one a MD, or as another suggestion like PJenny and Dottie and some others said, save most of your calories for the party/dinner on those days.

stardustshadow 12-19-2011 02:18 PM

23-DD
24- UD!
25-MD or UD, not sure just yet!
26-DD

I might just do 2 UDs in a row. I don't think doing 2 DDs in a row is a good idea...for me anyhow. It will shake my resolve:)

stardustshadow 12-19-2011 02:21 PM

Ha ha! Whatever I do I HAVE to end up on an UD on Jan 2nd. I have a HUGE exam, probably the hardest exam of the entire YEAR that day. I have to be absolutely 'on' for those 5 hours, so well fed, caffeinated and not hungover! Sheesh.

From the 6-9 I have a 3 day exam. I have not thought about what I am going to do here. I don't want to GAIN weight but I want to be sharp for those days too. Any thoughts?

OK, if you make Dec 25th a MD and then start the rotation as DD on the 26th and so on you will end up with Jan 2nd being an UD. At least that is how it comes out when I have done it for myself so I can have New Year's Eve as an UD. :dunno:

itsmeshelly01 12-19-2011 05:53 PM

Im gonna do Fri DD, Christmas eve hopefully MD but I'm not gonna stress of its not, Christmas day UD, and Mon DD. I wouldn't do 2 DDs in a row.

This is me. Today I had a great DD and will do a great DD Wednesday, too. I'm looking forward to Christmas being over with. There have been way too many parties and eating events!

caramel 12-19-2011 08:59 PM

My DD birthday is on the 23rd so that will be a MD. It is usually a DD but this time instead of the 22nd being an UD i'll do 3 DD in a row, the 22, 23rd and 24th. The 25th will be an UD of course:yummy:, that's my plan and I'm stickin to it!

Have you been doing JUDDD for a while?
I've read so many times that we shouldn't do 2 DDs in a row, and you say you are planning 3! :faint:
If you've been doing JUDDD for a long time, I am sure you know what works for you; but if you have started recently, I think it may be counter-productive.
Unless that was a typo, because you also said the 23rd would be a MD!

me to. Back in the day I would have never wished for the holidays
to be over I love this time of year.

caramel 12-20-2011 10:00 AM

opps:o my post was a major typooo! I meant to say 3 MDs in a row. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for pointing that out piratejenny because I never want to make anyone think that even two DD in a row is ok.

Honestly, I don't think I could make it through 3 DD in a row, lol.

piratejenny 12-20-2011 11:48 AM

Hahaha whew!!! 3 MDs sounds so much better! :D

Didn't mean to scold or anything, but I was worried somebody new might read that and think consecutive DDs are okay!

MintQ8 12-20-2011 12:30 PM

double phew!!

shirlc 12-20-2011 04:33 PM

triple phew!!!

caramel 12-20-2011 08:52 PM

Sorry guys:doh: but thanks for looking out! piratejenny, I didn't take it as a scolding, I've learned so much on these boards with advice and such, don't know where I'd be without it. I correct that, I'd be back at my 199 pound weight that I began at in 2008. Everyone is so great here and JUDDD is just the best.

I was up Monday after a huge Christmas party and after yesterday's DD back to normal.

stardustshadow 12-21-2011 04:28 AM

wow, that is good to hear...I couldn't do 2 DDs in a row, much less 3:)
