OT/a good cause for your clothes!

I talked with a gal the other day who works at a nursing home, she was buying some nice things at a thrift store for many of those that are in the home as many, many do not have nice clothes and the home was having a Christmas Party this week. Please consider donating clothing at the nursing homes and at the assisted living homes. So many there do not even have visitors, it is so sad.

I sure hope this is ok to post this

Great idea

I've been donating as I get smaller to a local hospice resell store, and the last batch I took to my mother and grandmothers "elderly" apartment complex for them to give to the people there

I donate to a Homeless shelter called "Feed the Hungry" Everything they sell does to all the shelters in our area soup kitchen!

My own mom is in assisted living. Mom does have nice clothes ( mostly from me ) and all there look so nice too.

I was so upset after talking to this gal that said "no one visits" at the nursing home she works at and many did not have "nice" clothes for the Christmas Party. I did not know this! I cannot even think of not looking after mom and her clothing needs!

I have always donated my things to a store that helps the handicap in our county or else to the thrift store that uses all money from their sales for the Food Shelf.

I am sure all such places are a good cause, but next time I will call the nursing homes and see if they can use my things.
