I love seeing this thread! I know I saw it when it was bumped last October. I had just been doing JUDDD about a month at that point, and it was perfect for me right then. And now, well Dawn, you've just done so great and are now showing us all how wonderful maintenance can be, and then more losses IF we want them. Terrific!

I've been juddding for 15 mos. I lost 75 pounds- 65 of those on juddd. Contemplating re-entering weight loss mode to get down to 115 or so. I'm switching back to 4:3 as of this week and will re-assess in a couple of weeks.

Wow! Inspiring! Thank you to everyone for posting and for Slowsure for bumping. I have a total of 80-85 lbs to lose and I've lost 42, so I'm at the half-way point. I want to be able to post on this thread next March with a fabulous success story like all the wonderful Judd budds here. :-)

I am at 18 months on JUDDD and still maintaining. I even had to gain a little back since I felt I looked too thin so all is good. I am maintaining at 139 and my lowest was 132. Too low for my age. I am happy happy happy at anything below 140.

I am still here happily maintaining too.

I have been on lots of vacations lately and had quite a number of UDs while using 5:2 but I seldom see a number over 128.

I like to stay 124 - 128 and that is generally where I am

JUDDD is simply the best way of life ever. I really enjoy my DDs or, as Blonde with a Rose sweetly describes them, Healing Days.

And I love my JUDDD BUDDDs.

18 months of JUDDD for me. But I do it for health benefits and maintenance not weight loss. I do (and have from the beginning) 4:3. I consider it JUDDD because the book says it's fine to do it that way, I use the JUDDD calculator for my numbers and I don't think 5:2 / 4:3 were around when I started in Jan '12. So to me it will always be JUDDD.

I've continued to JUDDD through some horrible health stuff over the last 7 months or so and if I can stick to it through that I think I can stick with it through anything.

Oh also as I've said so many times - it is still the ONLY thing that has ever helped my asthma.

Nineteen months and counting! I'm maintaining very well with JUDDD and double I'll ever do anything differently for the rest of my life. It's fit into my lifestyle very well, and is flexible enough to get me through any "eating occasions" that come up. My DH is right there with me, too!

You've been maintaining for approx. 13yrs now (your first 50lbs then JUDDD for another 10lbs)? It's so encouraging to see this.

I wish that one of the asthma charities took sufficient note of such reports that they would set up a decently-sized and powered trial to evaluate whether this would be useful for a wider range of people or if there's a sub-group within asthma who would derive benefit from this.

I hit my goal weight today and I'm very much hoping that sticking with JUDDD will enable be to maintain as well as you and your DH while (like you and Kissa) enjoying the opportunities and "eating occasions" that crop up.

Woohoo, Slowsure, GOAL, that is wonderful news, I read it here first.

Yes 10 years on Atkins Maintenance, then losing those magic 10 lbs with JUDDD. And eating all the foods on the plant and only restricting half the time.

I've been doing JUDDD on and off over the past 3 1/2 years. Some pretty devastating things happened to me during that time, cancer, 2 surgeries, chemo, radiation, etc, so there have been re-gains unfortunately during those times I wasn't JUDDDing. I had lost at my lowest 218 from 276lbs. I had lost from 314 to 276 on Atkins. After my last surgery I regained about 40lbs. But I'm back on track and slowly it's coming off, despite being on some meds that cause weight gain.

I lost 60+ using Dukan....but, I hated not being able to eat FRUIT!!! I regained 30 when I went off the plan.

Eating all the foods on the planet is the way I want to start 2014!!

I also really want to stick to gluten free, semi-paleo approach while doing JUDDD. Any tips with that would be greatly appreciated!

Stick to your UD and DD numbers and you will have a blast losing weight and enjoying food every other day!

Like Carly said, just stick to your calories. They can be made up of whatever your body enjoys, so gluten free, semi-paleo should work just great. Just track the calories and you'll be golden.

Looking at some of the dates in this thread, I've just realised that both Adi and I had January JUDDDiversaries For me, I've now officially been >1yr following JUDDD appropriately (we'll overlook the earlier aberration). And Adi's now been JUDDDing for 2yrs.

Thanks for reprising this thread...June will be two years for me and I'm a'hoping and a'working on losing the last 30 pounds as I've mostly been maintaining for the last year (well, the last year saw a 10 pound eviction.) The bulk of what disappeared was done during the first six months, or so.

Great thread! We gotta keep this going.

I started JUDDDing in December 2011 after losing 27 pounds on Dukan. I lost another 15 on JUDDD and maintained the 42 pound total loss for quite a while.

Got off track starting in April 2013 and gained a good chunk back because I quit JUDDDing or doing any kind of healthy eating or exercising.

Started back on December 20th 2013 and have lost 8 of what I gained so far. Hoping I can get back to my stats and then lose more.

So, I've sort of been doing it more than a year with a big long break where I fell off the wagon and then the wagon ran over me.

This thread is over 2 years old, so some of the responses could be from a while ago.

I've now been JUDDDing (off and on, but mostly on) for over 2 years!!
