Vitamins & Other Supplements on DDs?

Hmm... This is perhaps a silly question.

I'm wondering if other people take vitamins and other supplements on DDs.

What about the calorie counts?

For example, I have been taking my fish oil and vitramin D only on UDs, rather than including their calories in my DDs... and I wonder about things like resveratrol, curcurmin, co-Q10, ashwagandha, milk thistle... I used to take them every day, but have skipped them on my DDs so far.

Any thoughts?

I skip everything but my Metformin on DD. It's not about the calories though - I don't count the calories from supplements - it's just that I don't feel I NEED anything else on DD and like to give my body (liver) a break from working. Just my take on it, though.

That's a very interesting thought, Sophie.

Fasting seems to be very good for us, and it involves giving the digestive system - and the hormones associated with it - a break from working, allowing the body to maintain balance without having to respond to blood sugar changes, etc.

Something similar may very well be good for the liver.

Thanks for sharing this.

I take my fish oil, D3 and probiotic everyday because I feel so much better when I take these. I feel the difference when I have forgotten to take them so I don't skip them on purpose and I also never count these calories.
