It's interesting seeing how people bounce around with this diet!

I went up 2.5 pounds after my first DD (from carbs, I'm sure -- usually I eat a single carby thing and immediately gain six pounds) but now I'm back down another pound. I need to keep reminding myself that glycogen is NOT fat!

12/9/11 - after DD, + still lots of bloating from ovu. - 134.6
12/10/11 - not home, but still very puffy and SORE from mid-cycle!! whoa...
12/11/11 - 135.0 (got home a day early, yay!!)

(even though my weight is quite UP from a few days ago, i am ok with it ...well, not *ok*, but i thought it would be a lot higher. this month has kicked my butt as far as mid-cycle goes.)

DD or total fast today.

Saturday I ate like food was going out of style. I ate a huge candy bar and then made "crack candy" which is OMG amazing and super easy.
Today is a DD which is a relief. I look forward to my DDs now as they are getting easier and easier. My UDs are the ones I struggle with as I have the mind set that I can eat whatever I want to.

Same here. It's weird--because I can hold off on my "stress eating" on DDs by telling myself "you can eat tomorrow," but then on my UDs, I want to eat everything in sight--(unless I'm super busy). I had three handfuls of bridge mix today--now I'm not even hungry for dinner--which I need to eat in order to get in proper nutrition! I hate when I'm a bonehead.

Pjsam, I think it's so funny that I have trouble with the EXACT opposite of what I thought I would have trouble with. DDs are easier and easier - UDs are harder and harder.

spent the day with mom and sisters shopping yesterday. my dad died a year ago sept. we were shopping for bridesmaid dresses. mom is getting married in february. the first store we walked into and the first dressed i said 'what about this one?' we all three tried one on and they all fit perfectly and look fabulous!! mom has 11 grandkids...7 of those are little girls that she wants to all walk/ride down the aisle (one is only 10 mos old). so we found 6 of 7 little girl dresses too. a fun day! ate at the cheesecake factory for lunch. and perkins for supper. so lots of good food!

My goal toay is not to go crazy with food. I need to watch my intake as well as my carbs so I don't swell up like a balloon!
It looks like I won't be losing any weight this week due to all my "free eating".

I have really started looking forward to my DDs. They are so easy now and because I know exactly what I will be eating that day, they areeffortless as well. I am really struggling with the UDs and the mind set that I can eat whatever I want to.

I need to reset my thinking and stick with low carb on my UDs as well as my calorie limits. I have been eating waaayyy over.

I think I'm noticing a pattern, now that I've been writing out my info like this all month...it seems as though I do best on the weigh-in following an UD, if I've eaten MORE calories. More, as in more than 1800. 1800-1850 IS my UD number, so why am I so shocked that the closer I eat to that number, the better I do?? This seems like such a "DUH" moment for me, but until I saw it all laid out like this, I hadn't really noticed. All those days when my UD only got into the 1600's, I gained a pound or so the next day. But the days that are over 1800, I lost weight the next day. Even the day after I ate in the mid-1700's, I still maintained on the scale the next morning.

Soooo....lesson learned: EAT TO THOSE UD CALORIES, BUDDDs!!

Ah, eureka!

I don't post my weight stats on here, but do record them also, and I have found the same results as you did!!!

How awesome is it that we are all on an eating plan that INSISTS that we eat a bunch of food every other day???

12/4/11 - after C-mas party, but fasted all day before party - 132.8

12/10/11 - not home, but still very puffy and SORE from mid-cycle!! whoa...

12/13/11 - after a very UP day. 135.8.
12/14/11 - after DD, total fast - 133.0

i ended up only drinking fluids yesterday. it just never worked out to eat anything...lol. surprisingly i was not even hungry this morning.
