DDs right before TOM?

It's a DD for me today, and wow, I am seriously about to chew my arm off and starting to feel a little lightheaded even, and it's not even noon yet. It's so weird because I haven't had this problem for the past 2 weeks of DDs. I was able to make it all the way to just about dinnertime with just coffee without feeling like this. I didn't eat any differently on my UD yesterday and didn't eat below my limit either.

So the only thing I can think of is that I know TOM should be starting tomorrow for me. I know many of us often get more hungry right before TOM but actually experiencing it to the extreme is eye-opening for me!

Do you all have similar experiences? Or is it possible that this is something else? Trying to think of ways to distract myself, but even being at work right now and multitasking doesn't seem to be helping much.:stars:

Well So far my dds have been easy but I am hoping
it stays that way. And I have had tom once since
starting juddd with no side effects.

I hope things get better for you.

nope totally normal for me. both my dd's and my ud's were really tough and i actually had a dd turn into an ud, but then i had one good dd that helped reverse it. i just started TOM yesterday and I was fine, actually probably was under UD calories by a 100 or so. But 2 and 3 days ago I was so hungry I had a really hard time.

What got me through was chicken broth and diet hot cocoa and lots of water.

I had it last week. I wasn't hungry on my DD's before it started though, but after. I turned one DD into a MD (dressing, anyone? lol), and the other ended up being more of an UD because I had a cheeseburger. I crave very rare beef when TOM comes. I couldn't help myself :D

Thanks guys. I may take a nap during my lunch hour to see if it helps. I'll run out quick to get some hot broth if it doesn't. I'll try my best but if it does end up being a higher DD for me in the end, I'll just work harder after TOM to bring things back.

Ooh, I also crave rare-ish red meat around TOM. Now I'm dreaming of a juicy piece of steak on my UD tomorrow! :yummy:

There was just an announcement that we have free pizza in the conference room. Are you kidding me? These things only happen on a DD where I'm starving.......:stars:

Yes! This is me. I'm totally famished the day before TOM...like I can't eat enough. However, I usually have a little whoosh on the first day or two of TOM, so I haven't been sweating the extra bit of eating I've done just prior. Crazy, though...right? :stars::dunno:

In my desk drawer at work I keep bouillon cubes, crystal light packets, gum, cans of Progresso light soup, and Diet Swiss Miss hot cocoa. These are my saviors for DDs at work.

Yeah, I think this happens a day or two before Tom comes. If I have to, I just make it a MD or even a UD and get back on track later. :hugs:

Julie I also have the same stuff (minus the crystal light) but as long as I have my coffee cup I can either drink broth or some hot cocoa to help me through.

My work is awful, they will do BBQ's, HUGE birthday cakes, potlucks, breakfast burritos, etc. Usually it is to try to get money for our end of year Christmas party as the employee committee will do some sort of food or bake sale. Cracks me up because we have a huge wall with all this stuff about diet and exercise and low calorie recipes.

Well, I ended up going over my calories by 150, which isn't all that bad, but for a while I really thought I'd just break down and turn it into an UD. Lesson learned though. I'll be stocking up on broth, soup, hot cocoa, other instant drinks etc. at work to help get me through the pre-TOM time. Yesterday was really rough! Thanks for all the good advice. :)

150 over is not bad at all - good job on sticking out the rough patch! :high5:

Yes, I do the same as Julie, minus the progresso. I also keep 100-cal oatmeal packets, mini-moo creamers, tea, peppermint mocha instant coffee packets, cup-a-soup packets, SF cappuccino packets, and SF cider packets by my desk. (I like variety, lol!) I go one step further and also carry a box of vegetarian vegetable bouillon cubes in my purse with me at all times. It's so easy to get a cup of hot water most anywhere when you're out and about and starving (think: mall, Starbucks, Tim Horton's, McDs, anyplace that sells food and drinks, really...).
