Less wrinkles around my eyes, skin is glowing, nails look great, very little Fibro pain, LOTS of energy, much better/happier moods, and I can eat ANYTHING I WANT within my calorie range every single day and NOT just foods that are "allowed"!

WOE: Atkins, then JUDDD
Start Date: Started JUDDD 10/26/11
I also think I'm less wrinkly but my complexion seems worse! More breakouts. I think I generally feel better and more satisfied eating carbs again.

Hi Dasiey I also started noticing a difference when I was around 2 weeks into JUDDD.

Like you, my skin has improved, and the further along I get, the less breakouts. I still get at least one inflamed pimple if I overdo the sweets and/or wine, but overall my skin has improved steadily while on JUDDD.

But my face has felt dryer lately (at least the last couple weeks), and I can see fine lines around my eyes from this dryness, and my skin just has that tighter, dryer feeling even with moisturizer/oils applied... kinda how it felt pre-LC.

I chalk it up to either the acidic toner I use 2 x day (but if I don't, I get blackheads)... it could very well be drying me out, especially with the cooler weather. But I haven't noticed peeling.

OR, it could be that I'm not eating all those healthy fats like I was on Low Carb... and I've been thinking I should add that back in - eat more evoo, butter, meats, coconut oil, etc. And check my protein levels too - I haven't been paying as much attention to that on ******. So basically, up the quality fats/protein like I did on LC, and eat less processed foods than I have been lately (stuff with soybean, veg. oils for example).

Anyway, another good thing I've also noticed is less allergy trouble, at least on DD. I never have to take any allergy meds on DD. I take less on UD so far.

Of course, the weight loss

My mood! It's improved 200% doing JUDDD! Definitely a wonderful bonus.

Also, and this isn't even one I noticed until this past week while doing expenses, but the bank account! This WOE is saving me a noticeable amount of money! I pretty much don't eat on DDs except for a modest-sized dinner. I was talking to dbf about how there was quite a bit of money left over this month and was wondering why. It didn't hit me until he mentioned, "well, you eat every other day...tends to lighten up the expenses." That's definitely one nice unintended benefit for me!

WOE: JUDDD
Start Date: JUDDD-11/11 to present (LC-5/11-11/11)
My hair has stopped falling out in huge handfuls. That had been going on for about three weeks, and I was really worried.
It has stopped completely.

My eyes had become dry, and my thinking was not nearly as sharp as it should have been.
That is completely gone.

I was bored to DEATH with food. This was a biggie. I absolutely love to cook (Southern girl here!!), and I can now use my huge collection of vintage cookbooks again!

I kind of worry about those doing (very) low carb. I hope they never experience what I went through, and that if they do, they will be open-minded enough to explore other possibilities in their way of eating. I say this because I was one of those with the blinders on, steadfast in my belief that LC was the "only way" to be healthy. Thank goodness I stopped being so stubborn for a moment and opened my mind. I am still avoiding certain things (pasta, extra sugar and soy), but after adding some more carbs, I feel like a new woman.

JUDDD has made such a huge difference to me, and I wish I had explored it earlier. I am totally loving it!!!

Not feeling so guilty over one wrong bite that you just throw the whole day out and eat like there's no tomorrow

A friend mentioned to me recently that an Indian remedy for this is to massage some oil into the belly button. Mustard oil is preferred but I think coconut oil might work too. Sounds odd but I love Ayurvedic remedies!

I also am experiencing less hair loss. I was experiencing quite a lot on LC, along with more grey hair. It's too soon to tell, but I do hope the greys go away again!!!

I am so happy that JUDDD is making you so happy!!!

I was telling a friend about this, and she thought it was really cool...when I'm on a "regular" diet and mess up, I feel like I might as well have a few of the things I've been craving lately (peanut M&Ms and potato chips leap to mind!!!), because of course tomorrow I am going to totally get back to my diet and not mess up again for a long time!!! But with JUDDD, I know I can have whatever I'm craving in a day or two...and sometimes it ends up being a week or two before I get around to it!

I might try this. I always look out side the box to cure what ales me. I
don't take meds. I take herbs, if I need something.
