Ok, so I gave it 2 weeks....

And this morning weighed in at 157.4 -- down 3.4 lbs. That's after losing a bit the first week & then regaining up past my start weight. So the advice to "hang in there" is right on.

Here's how it went for me: 11/08 - 160.8
11/10 - 159.4
11/12 - 159.2
11/14 - 159.0
11/16 - 160.4
11/17 - 161.0 - over my start by .2 lbs. OH NO!
11/18 - 160.4
11/19 - 159.4
11/20 - 159.0
11/21 - 158.4
11/22 - 157.4 - down by 3.4 lbs! Yay!

Now I've struggled with eating up to my calorie ceiling of 1652 kcals on UD, actually only managed it once but I think that is too high a limit for me at this point, coming off months of less than 1000 calories daily on VLC. The DD are very easy, & I actually enjoy them the most. I can keep to my low # 330cals no problem so I still seem to have a good spread between the UD/DD's.

I am definately staying with JUDDD. My months on VLC have reset my taste & I have very little desire for the "junky" food so plan to remain on the whole food/low carb path.

Looking forward to week 3.

Congratulations on the loss!

Your UD DD numbers are so low and you said you've only eaten up to your 1652 once? If I were you, I would try for your next 2 weeks to always hit that number to see what happens. Maybe your meatbolism will go even faster!

Thanks Handbells, Dasiey, Juiletcc.

I have to admit I waivered a little when the #'s were going the wrong way but the extra carbs & calories I was eating on UD's had to be going somewhere. The good thing is they left & took friends with them.

Julietcc, I'm at about 1200 on my UD's now & think if I increase slowly maybe I'll be able to get higher without weight gain. I read all Beeb & Sohappy's posts & think "thats where I want to be!"

ccrickett... Wow! What an exciting and happy post this was to see. I'm so glad you posted your good results, and I'll really be looking forward to reading of your continuing nice JUDDD results. Way to go!

And, once again.. another example of the need to accept some awfully strange weight fluctuations as you get into it. We're eating a different way, often eating foods that we had kept from our diets for quite some time, some real changes for many of us.

This just isn't a plan where most folks get started and just drop weight right from day one. Oh, Lordy.. not by a long shot! So the advice to give it a couple of weeks is still holding true.. and maybe even a smidge longer than that!

You're doing such a great job already that I expect you'll just continue with great success! Way to go!
