Weather and Hungry!

I gotta tell you guys, I'm hungry today! This is one of the first DDs in a long time I can say this and I really think it's because of the yucky weather we are having in Jersey the last couple of days. It was raining, but not enough today to do anything but annoy me and keep me in the house, and I think this is why I'm just plain hungry.

Dark and chilly makes me want to EAT!! :(:annoyed:

How about you? Do you see a change in your hunger with the weather? :dunno:

Yes I just want comfort food when it's cold. I'm on a DD day and was sitting here starving but not wanting to eat any more calories for the day. A nice hot cup of chicken bouillon hit the spot, thank goodness. Tea might be next!

yep, i am finding myself having more chicken broth and diet hot cocoa because of the chilly weather

Yes I was hungry yesterday to. I had 490c. I think I will
add hot broth to my dds. For awhile.

I was STARVING yesterday. One of the worst dd's I've had since I started the plan. BUT I was rewarded with a nice loss this morning :jumpjoy:

Yesterday I was starving...ended up 740 calories instead of 600. And I wasn't full after my egg drop soup lunch, which usually stuffs me. Weather was rainy and a bit chilly.

IDK what it is, but I get so hungry at night!!!

Last night was supposed to be a DD dinner, but after hours of trying to get by on 25-calorie snacks and SLOWLY eating a handful of salty sunflower seeds (in the shell), I gave up and had some turkey slices with mayonnaise, a cheese stick, and some mixed nuts!!!

I'm sipping hot lemon water now and doing fine.
Maybe I just need to go to bed when it gets dark at 4:45pm so I don't eat all night? :hyst:
It's a mystery!

The cooler, rainy weather always makes me want to make a big pot of chili or soup :)

Ha, I started feeling this way back in Oct. I'm very seasonal, lol. I wanted to eat more then and it needed to be carby comfort foods.

Now I'm kinda regulated and well into comfort-food weather, so I don't feel like I'm extra hungry or anything. I love the soups and comfort foods though. Just had a bowl of Progresso with lowcal toast covered in LC garlic & herb.

I'm also having the easiest DDs now. It took a little over a month on JUDDD for me to not suffer at some point during most DDs. Now they seem to go along with relative ease.

I like how I feel on my DDs. Also the ease of them might have something to do with being at goal weight = there is not that bit of "pressure" from having to do great DD all the time to keep losing weight, if ykwim.

As soon as it gets below 80 degrees here, I'll let ya know...:cool:

Yes, it's been a lot colder here.... I live on the coast, and it has been icy and misty.... and I have been more hungry!

The dark nights don't help, I am at home more, and closer to the temptations of the fridge!

I also wonder if we subconsciously eat less when we are wearing skimpier, hot weather clothing....and more when our bodies are hidden under woolly layers?

Hugs

I have the same problem. Heavy foods are not all that appealing....which is very nice. Salads are our standby for dinner most of the time.

Joedi, I think it definitely makes a difference what kind of clothes we wear. I still wear swimming suits and it is the end of November!!

We are going to the mainland on Friday and it is quite cold where we are going. We are having a hard time coming up with enough warm clothes - we will be layering a lot to keep warm. Fortunately we have warm jackets that we can take, but I don't have any wool pants anymore.

Another one that feels more like eating the heavy choices and hot beverages in cold weather and lighter meals and cold beverages in the warm weather.
