DD fast food suggestions

I didn't see any posts on here for suggestions for what to eat out when you're on a DD. So let's all post some quick and easy staples to grab when you can't go home to cook.

So far I've thought of:

1. Wendys Small Chili (190 cal)
2. Taco Bell Fresco Crunchy Taco (150 cal)
3. KFC 2 grilled chicken drumsticks & individual sized green beans (200 cal)

What else?

WOE: Giving JUDDD a try!
Great idea! I am still trying to find nice, filling meals for my DDs. Though I like all the neat items and recipes I find with ingredients I've never bought, I know me well enough to know I need to keep it simple. I tried all those different ingredients and recipes with LC, with things like LC baking mixes and almond flour, and while it is a nice thought and I mean well, it just isn't realistic for me. I need to keep it simple, with things that I would buy and keep around here anyway. Even better is the fast food option! We don't eat out much anymore, but it is nice to have a little list, just in case.

From the Wendy's website...a small chili has 210 calories. Not too much of a difference, but thought I'd just put it out there

I did some digging and came up with these. Going to put them on index cards and put them in my purse so if I'm out and about I can make good choices! I pulled all of these with DD's in mind.

Wendy's

Garden Salad (no dressing) 25
Caesar Side Salad (no dressing) 60
Apple slices 40
4 piece kids chicken nuggets-180
FF French dressing 40
Light Classic Ranch 50

Bojangles

Grilled Chicken Salad (no dressing) 275
Garden Salad (no dressing) 165

(these salads are huge! Very easy to split into two portions on a DD!)

McDonald's

Bacon Ranch Salad (no dressing or chicken) 140
Caesar Salad (no chicken or dressing) 90
Caesar with grilled chicken 190
Fruit 'n yogurt parfait 160

KFC

Original Drumstick 120
Grilled drumstick 90
Grilled thigh 170
KFC Honey BBQ snacker 210
Caesar side salad (no dressing) 40
House salad (no dressing) 15
FF Ranch 35
Light Italian 15
Green Beans 25
Mashed potatoes no gravy 90
3" corn on the cob 70

Taco Bell

Fresco Chicken soft taco 150
Fresco crunch chicken soft taco 150
Grilled steak soft taco 150

Chic-fil-A

4 count nugget 130
Chargrilled chicken salad (no dressing) 180
Medium fruit cup 70
Large fruit cup 110
Light Italian 15

add to that MCDonalds

is their ice cream cones. A regular sized cone is 150 calories, or you can have it in a cup for with no cone for 130 or a kiddie cone for 45 calories.

I get a salad from subway occasionally. I get the the sweet onion teriyaki sauce at 40 cals a serving. You get a HUGE salad with chicken breast and dressing for under 200 cals. Very satisfying

Grilled chicken sandwich at chick fillet and whataburger (toss the buns) with a side salad. Comes out around 200 if you skip the croutons and choose the lowest cal dressing.

the regular sized cone is only 20 calories because they list with cone as 150 and without as 130 so the kiddis is less then 20.

For fast food salads, walden farms dressings, some flavors, can be found in boxes of 6 individual packets for around $5. Not a bargain, but very convenient!

OK, I think the McDonald's apple dipper calories are off. They give you a bunch of apple slices PLUS low fat caramel dip, which according to the site says there are 100 calories in (McDonald's) Apple Dippers with Low Fat Caramel Dip.

Apple PLUS Caramel Dip = 100 calories. I knew something was off there because the apple alone would be about 35 calories. Add the dip and there you go....100 calories.

Tricky fast food facts! You gotta watch!

No problem, you will take care of that unexpected MD with a few good DD later in the week!

I always go online, even on my phone, when I go out for Fast Food so there are no surprises like yours. Been there, did that, and did NOT like it!

The Subway site says that the 6" Italian or wheat breads are about 200 calories. I always tear off the top half of the bread and just eat the bottom. I save 100 calories that way.
