WOE: Giving JUDDD a try!
I had never tried LC, because I am kind of picky about cheese. I thought that since it was swiss, I would hate it. I was at Kroger yesterday, and they have a store brand called Cow Pals. It was on sale for $1.79, and LC was on sale for $3 something, I think. I bought the Cow Pals, which is 30 calories per wedge. I made a sandwich using my Healthy Life flaxseed bread, black forest ham, mustard and one wedge. It was great!

Thanks, Dottie!

That sounds delicious, Melissa. I am the same way about cheese and don't think I could eat these wedges by themselves. Mixed up with other goodies is another story though.

Melissa try this too: Make 2 pieces of toast, whatever bread you favor, then spread 1/2 a wedge of LC on each, layer sliced tomato then top with fresh ground pepper and some salt.
I swear I could live on this! And for a little over 110 calories(depending on the bread), it's a good calorie deal as well

I love cream cheese and can eat it plain. These Cow Pals are similar in texture and taste. I tried eating some plain, and it is pretty good! Not cream cheese delicious, but good enough that I could see myself grabbing a wedge and eating it plain.

That does sound good! I'll file that away for later. Thanks!

jandjsmom--
I forgot about how low-cal phyllo is! thank you for the reminder--I might have to get (or make) some of those shells for a DD treat!

A few weeks ago I took out some sheets of phyllo, cut them into cracker shapes (with about 3-4 layers) and browned them in a pan with a little butter, and ate them with a spinach-onion-feta mixture (a sort of impromptu spanakopita); they were very, very delicious!

I will be trying this as soon as I get some tomatos.

If any of you have a aldis. their wedged cheese is 25 calories. and good.
