Resveratrol

I know that Dr Johnson recommends (and sells) resveratrol.

Are any of you taking resveratrol, and have you noticed any effects? Dr. Johnson's brand is more expensive than others, and I was wondering if you think it's worth the price. Thank you.

I take 500 mg of Res daily. At this time, not Dr Johnson's eRes but another brand. I started taking it for the health benefits. Cannot say whether it has an impact on my weight loss, but I perceive it as making me feel good.

I took it when I was lc and I went into a stall at the same time I ran out. I never figured out whether that was anything more than a coincidence because I started JUDDDing at the same time I got a new supply of Res. And started losing again.

Warning: when I researched Res (long before I became a JUDDDer), I came across warning after warning that there are many Res out there that contain a pinch of Res and a ton of filler. If you choose to try it, select with care!

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I've been taking the natrol brand, 300mg a day and I've noticed my blood pressure is higher than it usually is.
I'm going to stop taking it for a few days and see if there's a difference. It may just be the sodium and stress lol.
If my bp goes back down without it, I may try it again after a week.

When I first started JUDDD (three years ago next month), I looked into Resveratrol, and it seemed from what I read at the time that its benefits were not shown to be as claimed in tests. At that time, the general advice was to wait to see if there were any studies to prove its efficacy.

So I've never taken it, nor have I seen any evidence that it is worth taking.

I supplement with fish oil and Vit D3, both of which have scientific back for their value (and I was very low in Vit D when tested, which is why I take it).

This will be interesting, Dottie. Hope your pressure goes down! I know you keep a good eye on the various aspects of your health, so glad you spotted this so easily. Now I'll be interested in the results of your starting/stopping/starting experiment with your resveratrol.

Beeb says it's because I'm a black or white Taurus personality type! LOL I'm an all or nothing. So it's hard for me to limit myself.

So, that being the case, I decided I'd rather be here than not! It wasn't working out very well for me anyway.
