Knew it would happen but so worth it

Ok, this is an UD for me. I hadn't eaten even HALF of my cals for the day, so, for the first time in over a year and a half of low carbing, I had REAL pizza for dinner. It was HEAVENLY. I stopped after 4 pieces or so cuz I was full. Like 2 hours later I was craving it again even though I wasn't actually hungry. So all that being said, I'm glad I usually stick to a low carb woe, and I'm glad that I have learned all I have learned about how carbs affect the body. It makes it easier to tell that I am not actually hungry and it's the after affects of eating a lot of carbs.

Aaaaah. Pizza! I just had 2 pepperoni slices yesterday for the first time in over a year probably! I generally try to eat healthy but I've also had quite a few crazy things in the last 3 weeks. Hopefully you won't have too many "after affects". I was expecting to after adding back in a lot of carbs but never did.

I'm trying to find a balance on JUDDD. VLC was making me feel horrible, but with just calorie counting on JUDDD I'm not losing anything. I lost 2 pounds the first week but I think that was just water weight. I'm going to have to do LC but not too low I guess.

I can't wait to see a new doc about my thyroid cause I think that's causing me problems

Normally I do stay low carb, even on JUDDD. I just decided to treat myself because it had been so long since I have even THOUGHT of eating real pizza. Just knowing what to expect afterward as far as the cravings helped immensely. Before low carb, I would have dove back into the leftovers without even thinking about it.

Real pizza!

I think it could be the case of "Now I can have this so I'm having lots of it" that most of us feel in the beginning of JUDDD.

What most of us learn is that we don't have to have it all today because in 2 days it's another UD and we can have it then again!!

LC is a a wonderful WOE and I, for one, still do a moderate LC WOE along with JUDDD, but I still "allow" myself those simple food pleasures I wasn't allowed on LC.

I just don't eat them all in one day. And what I'm suggesting is maybe it wasn't a LC craving trigger? Only you know this for sure.
