Does everyone here eat only low carbs on JUDDD??

If not, which WOE are you following while JUDDDing???

Just curious.

Thanks.

pjsam1156 11-19-2011 07:49 PM

I'm just JUDDDing.

Meek75 11-19-2011 08:19 PM

Thanks for responding, PJ. How are you doing?

pjsam1156 11-19-2011 08:23 PM

I'm having a GREAT time w/this WOE! I love being able to eat every other day and not ALWAYS be dieting! Are you going to start the JUDDD plan?

julietcc 11-19-2011 08:26 PM

I eat carbs on JUDDD but had been low carbing off and on for years. My last Atkins stint started in March when I weighed 142. I got down to 115 in September, stopped counting calories, went up to 118.6, then started JUDDD in late October. Once JUDDing, I started eating all the foods I missed. I still count all the calories, though!

E.W. 11-19-2011 08:28 PM

I am another one who is doing JUDDD. Some of us doing JUDDD are doing low carb and
some of us are not doing low carb. I am doing fine on JUDDD eating 200 + grams of carbs
on my up days. So far I have lost 34 lbs in the 3 or 4 months I have been doing it and it
seems much easier for me to follow than low carb was. I am 61 years old and prior to this
the only thing that worked for me had been low carb too. Now JUDDD may not be all that good if you have diabetes. On the other hand I have type 2 diabetes and it's working verry well for me.

I love the plan too. I started on Monday and I'm doing GREAT!. I've been stressed out all year from dieting. Thanks to JUDDD, the stress is gone and I feel FREE :jumpjoy:.

Seems like you did great on Atkins and now JUDDD. Good for you. I'm having lots of fun counting calories along with eating anything I want, when I want.

I'm trying to make better choices though :)

Star73 11-19-2011 08:34 PM

I'm going to have to lower my carbs instead of just counting calories alone. I think we just have to find that balance with what works for us.

Congrats on the weight loss thus far. 34 pounds in 3-4 month is spectacular .

Glad the plan is working well for you...especially with you being diabetic :hugs:.

I agree. I feel better on low carbs, but I will admit that I have a treat here in there. I just don't let it get out of control as sugar has always been my worse enemy, lol.

gotsomeold 11-20-2011 03:31 AM

I really like the way I feel on lc. But JUDDD is giving me the freedom to experiment. I adore that JUDDD comes down to personal responsibility: I feel so in control!

PS Like you, I started last Monday. One week and three pounds down - doesn't the future look great?

Skinjob 11-20-2011 05:04 AM

I don't count carbs at all. Calories only. Down 6.5 lbs in two weeks (though for some reason they all crept back on literally overnight!)

handbells 11-20-2011 05:39 AM

In my short time of doing JUDDD (less than a week), I find that I'm naturally low-carbing-sort of! I the past five days I had rice once, 1/2 hamburger bun (I even got broccoli instead of fries! Not because I couldn't have the fries, but because broccoli was the better choice, calorie wise), a little chocolate, and some potato options (soup one day, cottage potatoes another). On my DD, my carbs are very low (less than 20), and on my UD (so far), they are 100-130, depending on my choices for the day. As time goes on, my UD numbers will most likely drop :)

The first time I did JUDDD last winter I did not low carb. A couple of weeks ago I decided to get back on track with JUDDD and thought I should low carb also. I did about 1 1/2 weeks of good LC but have now decided that I'm over that. I love JUDDD because I don't feel restricted but adding LC in makes me feel just that so I'm not going to worry about the carbs anymore. I do need to limit my sweets intake though so I'm really going to try work to keep that under control.

Meek75 11-20-2011 08:28 AM

Today is day 6 and im down 5.2 pounds. Every day hasn't been 100% LC. On some days, I've eaten about 100 gram of carbs and still able to lose weight.
It good to be able to use whatever woe with this plan.

This is the life!

LOL

That's a great loss! Yes it is cool that you can low carb, or eat carbs, or do weight watchers and it still works!

Piccina 11-20-2011 10:09 AM

I probably have a tonne of carbs on my up day. I eat what I would normally eat, and I've never been concerned with carbs. Now, on my low days I usually pick protein/fat over carbs, but that's because it fills me up better.

Kissa 11-20-2011 10:29 AM

I feel as as if I am eating loads of carbs but most days it is well under 100. And so much of that is vegetables.

You are losing so fast Meek, well done lady.

Same here. I am for fat, protein, and veggies on my down day. I also eat one piece of fruit.

:jumpjoy: I missed this post!! OMG, way to go Skinny!! :high5::jumpjoy::up::clap:

ooodsie 11-21-2011 07:16 PM

I just started, but I plan to do mostly all protein and veggies on DD's and try to not overload on carbs on up days - maybe keep it around 100-150g max.

sherrymyra 11-24-2011 09:07 PM

I'm gearing up in my mind to get this started. I lost 65 pounds doing HCG and in the last couple of months seem to have my weight creeping up every couple of weeks. I eat pretty much low carb. No starches, grains or sugar. It takes a few days of eating very clean to get off those couple of gained pounds. I'm tired of it. While I hope to be able to add starches back in my diet I expect to be doing pretty low carb on the JUDDD. I think starchy carbs only on my UD's.

I feel like I am getting excited about this. I don't really need to lose but just maintain. However I would like to be able to eat more types of foods than I can right now without gaining.

E.W. 11-25-2011 02:34 AM

While I have been on JUDDD I have been eating all I want while on an UD. And although
I don't count carbs or callories I probably eat between 200 & 250 g of carbs a day and I am doing verry well with all these carbs. With 36 lbs lost so far and about to change that
to 38 but I don't change my weight loss stats till I am down to the new weight for 2 or
3 days. Perhaps I would lose even faster if I was eating a lot less carbs but I am losing
this way and sure don't feal deprived I love this WOE.

MintQ8 11-25-2011 03:47 AM

Not intending to keep my carbs low - but often don't really care for the carbier options.

SoHappy 11-25-2011 05:54 AM

I'm trying to remember which came first, but I think before I'd even started JUDDD I'd decided I was going to go back to eating mostly the foods that were put on my mama's table back when I was a little kid. So just plain *food* and some of everything.

I guess JUDDD was the perfect match to that as I wanted to eat some of everything and not go overboard on the quantities and/or calories of what I ate, and JUDDD was the perfect plan to guide me in eating that way.

So.. Oh, Yeah! I eat carbs. Nothing is off limits to me anymore. But it's still mostly meat and veggies with some fruit and dairy, plus now I also enjoy more grains and sugars. My days usually range from between about 50 net carbs to about 175 net carbs, although can be lower or higher.

If ****** didn't give me a figure for carbohydrate, I wouldn't know how much I was eating of it though, as I don't pay any attention to it at all. I'm on JUDDD. Calories are what I focus on, not carbs.

sazzie 11-25-2011 06:16 AM

It's amazing how quickly I abandoned my carb counting since starting JUDDD.

I was carb counting for more years than I care to admit, but I must have needed the freedom from knowing my carb consumption, because I shed it like dog hair.

I feel so free and even though I must count calories to remain successful on JUDDD, I no longer feel that resentment of watching other people eat foods that I avoided for years!

Your words have given me a laugh already this morning. And I understand what you are saying about that resentment of watching other people eat foods that I couldn't, that were *cheat* foods for me. They were either too high in carbs, or too high in calories, or both.

Now I give one day to myself for weight management, and the next I give to myself to enjoy the endless variety of foods the world has to offer.
