But I want to LOSE some weight (duh!), so it looks like I'm either going to need to lower those numbers (500/2100)....OR start exercising more. I don't hate doing my treadmill - just a habit I need to get back in to....

Sounds like a better choice than lowering my numbers at this time of year!
I was scolded before as well. on a dd I had a small steak and green beans. And I was told that I went over my calories. And that I couldn't stick with any plan for long and that I was seen all over the boards trying this and that and If I ever wanted to lose I needed to stick with a plan.

Well I left the boards for along time. I was afraid to post didn't know if I would be scolded or not.

We travel a lot and eat out a lot. When I am home i can follow the plan fairly well, but not every day. I am losing weight and inches with just calorie cycling. It has made a huge difference in just a short while. Today i bought a new dress that I wouldn't have even taken in the dressing room a month ago. I had been maintaining the same weight, give or take a few pounds, since last June. We - DH and myself - have been doing low carb forever. It still seems to be working for him, but not as much for me so I love the calorie cycling and while I don't overdo on the carbs, I have been eating a few more of them.

All of this being said, this is one of the friendliest groups of people around and I continue to read everything that is posted. The motivation is wonderful, as are all of you. I just try not to post anything that is out of the ordinary.

Good job Teresa! I just got done calulating an estimate for the Thanksgiving buffet we were at this afternoon - wouldn't have been bad if I'd stayed away from the brownies!!!

I find the most frustrating thing about this WOE isn't the hunger on the down days, it's the fact that I always gain after them. The weight fluctuations are too extreme. I'm up 6.5 lbs today. How is that even possible? I had a MD yesterday, but only around 700 cals. Never made it to 1000. It's this support group that helps me keep going when my weight bounces back up to where I started for no good reason.

Skinjob...I seem to have big fluctuations too, but not after a DD. I've been posting on the daily weigher thread too and wish more people would cause I find it really interesting how our bodies all react so differently to JUDD.

I had a really spectacular first week (8.5lb) loss and this week I'm actually gaining (official 2nd weigh-in tomorrow). I normally would be really discouraged, and have thrown in the towel by now (my MO). But then I would have put that weight back on immediately and probably gained another 10lb over the holidays as well.....SO....gonna stick with JUDD and be thankful to see the pounds (and inches) slowly melting away instead.

I find everyone's encouragement and support really motivating on these boards too.

skinjob That is a crazy fluctuation. Were you having lots of broth on your DDs?

I made it thru yesterday...had 1/2 ounce blue cheese for a nighttime snack, and was close to my MD goal (1150 instead of 1100).

Released 2 pounds of the water weight caused by my UD plus UD fiasco, so feels good to be back to my low.

I think there's something to be said for eating a wider variety of food, enjoying family get togethers, and NOT gaining weight right now!

I still need to tweak to find that magic number to see the scale go down further - but for this week, I'm happy right where I'm at!!

Mostly veggies, one coffee, lots of no salt added broth. Sometimes half of a piece of fruit. It's so weird that I tend to lose after UDs!! I never go over 500 on my DDs. I tend to eat all 500, though. I am not one of those people who can eat just 100 or 200 cals without passing out.

Glad to see another one going to a thrift store, I love those!!! Once a month at my favorite store they have a bag sale - $3.00!! It is only for clothes, shoes and books!

Did you find any good deals? Last year I found a pair of brand new black leather boots for $2, the zipper was stuck but a little oil on it and they are now super great!

I know have that scale goes!! I just cannot step on it too often as i get depressed and off the diet I go! Maybe you would feel better if you only stepped on once a month, think?? For me it works!

All the best to you!

That is a good idea, I think. But then I get conflicting advice on the board suggesting that I weigh every day to see how certain foods affect me. Today it bounced a k down 2 lbs showing a total loss of 3 lbs in two weeks. It was 6.5 earlier in the week but I'll take it. I'm not giving up!

Weekend almost over. I wish would have found this earlier. I didn't go over my calories at all. Didn't even hit my number but ate to many carbs and didn't drink enough water. Im feeling so dang blasted right now. I know the scale will be up at least 3lbs in the morning. This happens to me every weekend. Is so frustrating. I end up going up in weight even when I don't eat that bad. I think it may be because I don't drink as much water as I do during the week at work and when im ay work im sitting all day and on the weekends is go go go. I don't know but is gets frustrating. Sometimes I think I just need to just stay off of the scale on Monday but I can't do it. I get on it anyway and then get all ticked off... lol
i do Monday Wed and Fri UDs. Im trying to make sat a MD and I did ok with that yesterday but today I had a piece of today with breakfast, then I shared a turnover with my son at lunch, then I had 2 blueberry scones. Soooooo am bloated! Oh well is done now. Tomorrow will be a wonderful DD and I know I will feel better. Tell he to stay off of the damn scale on Mondays... lol
I how you had a good weekend everyone.

WOE: Giving JUDDD a try!
I know the weekend is almost over, but I am frustrated at myself right now! I knew that Thanksgiving and that weekend would be hard to stay on plan. I was right, but I moved on and lost that weight. Fast forward to late this past week and this weekend. I am dealing with a really bad round of constipation here, which is a normal thing for me when I am not on strict LC. I know that my gains late this week have been mostly because of the constipation, but this weekend I have been bad. Actually, I started out great earlier today. Made it to 3 with only liquids and chicken broth. Then my husband decided he wanted Rally's, and oh boy, it was over for me! I've definitely had an UD again today! UGH!

Yes, I know! My husband tries really hard to be supportive, and he always has the best of intentions. But, more times than not, I LET him mess me up, because I know it is just as much my fault as it is his. He is overweight, but not as much as me. It drives me crazy that he sits around and eats all evening long, nothing but junk, and still maintains where he is. If I ate like he does, I would be a lot bigger!

For the most part this is us. I love it that he can maintain like that. And i also hate it that I can't.

But lately i have been feeling like a nag. I have to stop saying things like why you eating like that for. Or hes gonna get sick of me.

After all its his life and his waist and his body. I love him no matter. Boy am I glad I got that off my chest.
