Do you start with an UD or DD?

Hi All, I am considering trying JUDDD. Have been reading lots of threads hear and it sounds like it may work for me. Does it matter what type of day you start off with?

An UD makes you feel more ready, imo

I started with a DD which worked perfectly for the way I'm wired.

So to answer your question, no, it does not matter! Just jump right in! If you start tomorrow with a DD, your Thanksgiving will be an UD!

Jen, You just made my decision. Tomorrow it will be my first day trying JUDDD. That would work out perfectly for Thanksgiving. Now I need to see what Christmas falls on. lol

^^^^ good thinking! (making it line up right outta the gate for Thanksgiving!)

Personally, I started on a Monday with a DD. I pretty much don't eat all day and save ALL my calories for a light dinner with my husband. I already KNEW I could do that comfortably from a past attempt at Fast 5, where you fast for a stretch every day (EVERY day - LOL!).

I started with a DD because it just seemed to fit with my mood. Plus, I knew the DD would be the hardest for me (I never have any problem with UDs), so I wanted to get one under my belt, so to speak.

I always recommend an UD BUT since Thanksgiving is coming if you are starting today or Sunday make either day an UD to give you an UD for Thanksgiving unwise wait until tomorrow or Monday and make them a DD to give you an UD for Thanksgiving, again.

HTH

Yeah! No sense putting it off I think Christmas Day falls on a DD. But there are ways to tweak it

Jen, I went and checked out Christmas after deciding to start and it is a DD. Hoe do I "tweak it"? Do I do 2 DD's before or fast all day before the main dinner meal?

Another bump because this thread may help those thinking about doing JUDDD and not sure what day is best to start with.

I started with an UD because it made sense & then I ended up doing 2 UDs in a row to get my calendar right.

BUT the dates in my signature start from my first DD.
