Carb Surprise

In a good way!

I didn't realize ************ was tracking carbs as well as calories. Had my UD today at 2032 calories. With bread at breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a little chocolate, I thought it was going to be VERY high carbs!

Result? 121 carbs for the day. That IS a lot when you're used to 20-30, but it's still below my RDA of 165 (which we all know is too high!).

So - I could easily lower that to under 100 a day, just removing the bread from breakfast, and I think that'd be a reasonable, healthy level.

I guess when you've been low-carbing for a while, bread and sugar really DO gain villain-ous status!

I use *** too, and I always check out my carbs, minus any fibre! Not watching them to reduce them, just out of interest!

Btw, when I saw the title of your thread " carb surprise" I thought it was going to be an UD recipe! Lol!

I like the "feels goooooood!" comment! Doesn't it, though and after a while there is no guilt attached to those larger carb numbers, either. I was SO when I realized that my poor metabolism actually did MUCH better with a higher carb count, it seemed to be starving and needed more carbs to start me losing again. Too weird, but very cool at the same time!

And for the upcoming recipe (and maybe a few other "Chistmas cookie recipe will follow?!)
