11/19 229.0 UD (this is my 7th weigh-in on JUDDD, and I have lost 2.4 pounds, even with adding all those carbs back into my diet!)

Okay, so I am pretty happy with 2.4 pounds in 7 days. I didn't really expect too much, going from LC to CARBS! Next week is Thanksgiving, so I am going to stick with what I have done so far, though I have had a couple days of too many calories. After next week, I am going to watch the trend and may adjust my UD calories down some.

wow, talk about a yo yo diet!
ive been looking at all these numbers to see if i wanna try JUDDD. I just cant stay low carb for long periods of time, and I also dont like meat that much...
This looks like A LOT OF WORK for really slow results? Correct me if Im wrong cause Id like a different diet right about now...

it's not really a lot of work, unless you aren't used to keeping food logs. Actually It could be a lot of work depending on what you consider work. Planning filling low calorie meals can be easy or a pain. Planning filling Up Day meals can also be a pain. Planning is a Pain.....

But it's really as much normal eating on one day and dieting on the next. So it might be only Half the work?

I'm not a good example, but I tried JUDDD for 2 weeks, and I dropped some extra weight about 3 lb, then went below my maintaining weigh then back up to my maintaining weight, so for 2 weeks I really no net gain or loss, except for the water weight I took off the first week, which I shouldn't have been up anyway.

I'm eating well above the , what 20-35% range of DD, and close to max on UP days, and I think that is why I'm maintaining instead of losing. but then, that is my immediate goal. and I'm not in the losing mindset. I'm sure if I were motivated enough to keep the calories low where they are supposed to be, I might see a loss, based on my 2 weeks in JUDDD.

But I can see the value in it, getting slow losses while still being able to eat and entertain with food like "normal". Seems like a good plan around the holidays when you have less control over the meals and busy body activities grabbing your time, and Calorific Meals expecting to be et. It's much better than slowly gaining, eh?

It's not slow for most people...I'm kind of stalled right now.

Anyways, you can eat any diet you want on JUDDD - vegetarian, low fat, high fat, atkins, etc. The only requirement is to follow the up day/ down day schedule.

I'm new to JUDDD, fresh off of LC. I came over here because I also couldn't stay on LC for too long. Plus, this last time on LC, I was just so moody and depressed a lot of the time. I think JUDDD is like any other diet. It works if you work it. The more dedicated you are to keeping to your calorie limits, the more results you will see. Sometimes it might take some adjusting to find the perfect balance of DD and UD calories. For me, this last week has been wonderful. I feel better. I am getting not only the meat that I love from LC, but the carbs I was missing so badly. My mindset has been much better, and although I have gone from 20 carbs or less a day (most days) to not even paying any attention to carbs at all, I have still managed to lose 2.4 pounds in 7 days. And the DD, which had turned me off of JUDDD in the past, don't really bother me nearly as much as I thought they would.

Don't seem to be losing any weight this 2nd week (tomorrow is my weigh-in), but not discouraged. I'm really proud of myself that I've stuck to it even though not seeing the scales move. Noticing Kristi, that you don't have the huge bounces that I have...yours only seem for the most part to be a few tenths of a pound. Wish more people would use this thread....think it's interesting to see how our bodies all repond differently. You're getting so close to ONEDERLAND!!! I'm excited for you.

Week One - ended the week at 137.5; average for the week - 138.8

Week Two - ended the week at 136.5; average for the week - 137.1

Week Three
Saturday, 11/19 - 136 MD - meant for this to be a DD, but then there was DS' birthday

Week Three - ended the week at 136; average for the week - 136.3

Week Four
Sunday, 11/20 - 136 - this will be another MD so that Thanksgiving can be an UD! I WILL track my food today, which I didn't do yesterday.
