Um, I didn't take measurements until last Monday. I was lazy and just putting it off. Maybe in denial too, lol. But now I have something to check against, so thats good! I'll take em again on Tuesday after my DD on Monday. |

first day back at work since surgery, my DD was supposed to be 348 but I went over as I was
hungry today and have a physical job... B-rhubarb yogurt coffee L-mandarin orange mixed raw veggies s-2 cups chicken broth 5 cheese-its d- lean cuisine red wine chicken and I added 3 cups spinach s-1/2 cup red seedless grapes total calories about 403 (should have been 348)...still under the magic 500 but should I take the extra 55 calories off of tomorrows up day calories? |

I forget about Lean Cuisine!
I get so tired of cleaning the kitchen! I use DD as an excuse to do as little cooking as possible, even most of my veggies that I use in soup are dehydrated. But Lean cuisine and the like would certainly fit into my DD. I'll have to go shopping this week. ![]() |

I don't buy them dehydrated. I do my own. A great convenience idea. Open a jar and toss in a hand full. Easy as can be.

I don't think you should even try to lower tomorrow's UD calories. That will only bring your spread closer together, and no reason to want to do that. I know you don't do 500 cal DDs, and try to remain far under that, but *blowing your diet* today by the extra 55 calories is going to be OK. ![]() You always do such a good job with your numbers, but I'll bet you can relax about this. Your food choices today sound wonderful. Yummy Down Day.

Betty - there was a lady by the name of Leo who used to post on the JUDDD thread a lot. She posts on the thyroid threads as she is hypothyroid. She went from 300+ pounds to 145 on LC and then JUDDD. She is older than you, but her metabolism was so slow she had to stay under 500 calories on DD and 1000 calories on UD - yes 1000 calories. Her doctor also said her metabolism was soooo slow that that was a good number for her.
If you go to very old posts on JUDDD - page 9 or so - you can find where she was posting all the time and what she was eating. If you need some help I can go back and find some links for you. It will be interesting to see what the Dr. says about your thyroid next week. I was put on thyroid meds in June and started JUDDD in August. I am finally losing some weight, but am not eating tons of food, either. I am also much older than you - even older than SoHappy!! who really isn't old at all - it's all a state of mind, not a number!!

Great idea on the Lean Cuisine (or other frozen low cal meals). I should get some of these for the convenience if nothing else. Just like the Progresso soups, they are great when you don't have time/don't want to make your own
We should add Lean Cuisine to the Down Day Staples thread |

![]() Had a fun luncheon with 3 gal pals of mine yesterday. Ages 73, 68, 68, and 67. We all thought middle age started at 40 and went until 60, when old age started but while that was old, it was a far cry from having reached decrepitude! I feel young on the inside. I just need to avoid the mirrors. ![]() |

I'm not well versed in frozen dinners, so would you guys tell me what brands you think taste the best or are the best value or are lowest calorie?

Marie Calendars' Shrimp scampi is 380 calories but very, very good.
Weight watchers (the red box ones) chicken enchilada suiza are awesome and 290 calories. WW's pizzas are also good. |
