Woo Hoo...Listen to This!...back to calorie cycling...
Gosh I feel schizophrenic, but I'll post this anyway.
I have gone from Weight Watchers to calorie cycling to low carb and back again in an amazingly short period of time! What a crazy dieting year this has been for me. I was originally on WW for several months- HATED IT - then switched to calorie cycling which had worked in the past, had an appointment with my doc who diagnosed prediabetes and wanted me lowcarbing; told me not to worry about calories. Not really happy as low carb WITHOUT calorie counting NEVER worked for me. I wasted money on a few low carb books to further educate myself...went to another doctor for my blood sugar issues, as I wasn't too happy with the first one for a few reasons. Listen to this! My current doctor said there is no reason for me to follow low carb if I don't want to! She said just losing weight, whether it be low calorie, low carb, Weight Watchers, etc. often normalizes your blood sugar, unless you're eating a lot of junk! SHE HERSELF CALORIE CYCLES! I thought I'd almost faint when I heard this. Is that providence or what? AND she approved of me taking glucomannan whereas the last doctor told me to just keep taking my psyllium. In fact my current doctor was enthusiastic about the gluco! I told her I am taking her home with me. So, to make this long story short...I am back. And I ain't leaving. I am doing what always worked for me in the past - lowering calories. I'll be cyclying - not going as low as you JUDDDERS, but I still want to be part of this group. Waving at everyone! Glad to be home. |

Way too much time on my hands!

Welcome back to this forum, even if you aren't going to actually be doing JUDDD.
And, who knows... as you read more about this JUDDD plan, you may be drawn to do more than just cut calories by cycling them some, and be drawn more into doing the real JUDDD fasting/feasting plan of cycling. We have several here who are not only pre-diabetic but who are diagnosed as there, and they are doing JUDDD and having good luck with it, and improving their health as they also enjoy weight loss! Glad to see you back again. |

This is so interesting and such great news! And I'm so happy for you and happy you're back! ![]() I have read the same thing somewhere that your doctor said, that basically something about calorie cycling/fasting/CR, etc. does great things for the body, irregardless of WHAT we eat - doesn't matter if it's Atkins or any other LC or veggie or whathaveyou. The calorie cycling/restriction is just an AMAZING thing for our bodies! |
