4 Weeks Into JUDDD - Progress Report
WEIGHT LOSS See this thread for how my weight loss went when starting JUDDD.... GOAL!!! Since "restarting", I lost 5# in 9 days and have been maintaining. Decided earlier this week to drop more weight before the holidays to give myself some "room" for all that holiday eating SKIN/HORMONES Skin is mostly clear as long as I don't overdo wine and/or refined carbs. This part has started to excite me over the last few days - the red marks (post-inflammatory marks from past breakouts) are fading! I haven't seen my skin look this good since being on the Pill in my 20s when my skin cleared and the red marks had a chance to fade! My skin issues are a big deal to me because I've been plagued with hormal acne pretty much my whole life. Over the last year, since gaining around 30#, I started breaking out with huge cysts around my jaw and neck all the time. On LC, they lessened and became much smaller. On JUDDD, they're gone! And now the red marks are fading too! ![]() INFLAMMATION In my GOAL!!! thread, I mentioned that since July, I'd noticed upon getting up out of bed and walking, that my feet would feel strange - an odd achey feeling, partly like my feet had been asleep. It would go away after being up a few minutes but I wondered if it was the start of arthritis or something. Well, I no longer have that since starting JUDDD ![]() I think my allergies are improving. I've always had environmental allergies - dust, mold, pollen, etc. and now I don't have to take allergy pills on my DDs. Those days, I am clear as a bell and feel great. I have reduced my dosage on the UD, but haven't stopped. This morning I sneezed for a bit, so time will tell how this part of things is going. I'm cautiously optimistic though ALCOHOL Another great thing JUDDD has done for me, at least due to the way the JUDDD scheduling goes, is that I'm drinking so much less alcohol! For one thing, I never wanted to drink on DD because I was afraid it would stimulate appetite and also because it would use up calories too fast. Yesterday I tried having a small glass of wine on my DD for the very first time, just to see how that would go, but you know what, I couldn't even finish a small glass of wine. Just didn't seem that desirable on my DD for some reason. On my UDs I usually still have wine, but it's a lot less than I used to be. My consumption had really jumped over the last year or so. Now I'm literally drinking only on HALF the days I used to, and on those days I'm drinking, it's a more normal amount like it used to be for me. So there's my one month progress report

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC. MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too Last edited by sophiethecat; 11-10-2011 at 08:04 AM.. |

Really great report.
Especially about the feet...I'd have been thinking neuropathy. Good news that it's gone. |

So I gotta ask the same question I did on another thread this morning:
Do you do strictly UD/DD or do you do Monday, Wednesday, Friday DD's? Trying to see what seems to work best - thanks! |

Somehow I've pretty much kept things to an alternating UD/DD pattern. I thought I'd need a MD here or there, but so far it's worked out that I can just keep the pattern going. The thought of a MD kind of messes with my mind so I've been avoiding them. What I might do eventually, is make M-W-F my DD and T/TH/Sat/Sun UD's all the time. I might experiment with this after the holidays. |
