starting and want to make sure...
I was reading through some of the posts and I have read that you aren't supposed to do 2 down or up days in a row. I was going to do every MWF as down days and the rest as up days, so that sat and sun would be up days. Is that wrong?

Here is what I do. MWF down days. T Th Sa up days. Su medium day. A medium day is halfway between your down day and up day calories. So for me, it's 600 on down days, 1700 of up days and I aim for 1100 on the Sunday medium day (or MD). So far, it's working pretty good for me.

Thanks for the welcomes! I wasn't going to post any until I had tried it for 2 weeks bc I have been having so much trouble lately sticking to a plan! So far though I am very optimistic about this one!

My rotation is just like Speck's. M-W-F are DDs, T-Th are UDs and Sat-Sun are either UD/MD or MD/UD depending on what I may have going on over the weekend...usually the former, unless we have a family dinner or other activity involving nommy foods on a Sunday.

Way too much time on my hands!

You have reason to feel very optimistic about JUDDD, and about finding success on JUDDD. You have to be willing to do the simple calorie cycling that basically is the plan, and then after that, everything else falls into place. I'm sure you will find the same success that most everybody does here. If you get your Up Day calories set correctly and don't exceed them (often) (wink), and you hold your DDs to 500 calories or fewer, I think you will be losing fat at a real good pace at the same time you have been freed to eat whatever in the world you want to include in your menus, every single Up Day! And it's all part of the diet. I am sure glad you've joined us! ![]()

and hope you find JUDDD as "magical" as lots of us do! ![]() Lots of people do MWF DDs and TTFS UDs and seem to do fine with it. It's all what makes you comfortable and is doable for you. Give it a try! The nice thing about JUDDD is it's flexible enough to play around with, as long as you are getting that UD/DD calories so it can work it's magic! ![]() |
