Wonderful DD menu and plan for saving more calories for the evening. That's exactly what I do too.

It doesn't take us too long to zero in on exactly what works the best for us personally, and then watch the weight loss!

I find that a cup of warm broth made "hot and sour" with a little tabasco and a splasgh of vinegar is a real hunger quencher Depending on the broth, that can be 5-10 calories, so a good option if you just need something.

Dottie thanks for the suggestion. I always keep bouillon and broth around in case of emergencies. The hot and sour suggestion sounds really good.

Same! I always do black coffee through breakfast, even on UD (unless there's a special breakfast or something).

I also must save plenty of calories before bed. You have all this figured out already and you're doing much better than I was at the beginning at managing DD calories

In fact, I only started getting more used to DD eating recently. Before, I was starting to eat too early in the afternoon and then get hungry every couple hours and cave in - eat, and then by bedtime I was really hungry and no more calories or too few.

Had some almonds and pumpkin seeds as a mid-morning snack. Lunch wasn't the healthiest- 2 LC tortillas w/ cream cheese and salsa, pepperoni "chips", sf pudding, and a muffin-like sf dessert thing.

I'm still stuffed over two hours later- think I'll be skipping dinner tonight. At least I'll be good to go for tomorrow's DD.

So far it's not looking to good. I had my usual coffees and yogurt, but when lunch came around I was starving. I tried to hold it off with French Onion Soup, but the fake banana split (banana, french vanilla cool whip, delicately drizzled with SF chocolate syrup) was calling my name..over and over until I caved! 478 calories so far

Kel, are you doing a DD today, or an UD. And I am now putting bananas and french vanilla cool whip on my grocery list!

I'm fixing DH's supper right now, and somehow it's helping me feel full. Must be that *smell it and pretend you've eaten* thing at work.

He asked if I could make him some BBQ pork and baked acorn squash, so that's what I'm working on.

I haven't eaten yet today, so will have lots of calorie room for veggies and some 0-calorie WF dressing for dipping while I watch a TV show this evening. That's after my scrambled egg whites with ham and veggies, but before my bowl of oatmeal!

Sounds like *Fair Warning*.

Maybe I'll save that for an UD.

Are you going to be able to make it until bedtime?

I might go over a little bit, but shouldn't be much. Thank goodness for salads and vegs!

Good plan. It's a great treat that isn't the end of the world, just not on a DD.

I was gonna suggest eat lots of veggies this evening. Don't suffer and not be able to sleep cause you're belly's empty. You could also sip on hot beverages like tea, decaf coffee, broth... I've been sipping on mint tea. I don't know if the peppermint smell is helping suppress appetite, but it might be. Somehow I've made it til now on about 160 calories. That number is gonna take a jump though before I jump in bed!

Let us know how you're doing.

I don't see a lot of veggies happening here
veggies save me on DDs.

So I've probably had about 400cals worth of soup along with
715 cals of: almonds, prunes, cheese, cheese cake, craisins and a candy peace.

I can only estimate the soup cals but I'm about to have some more. And maybe end the day with a portioned size ice cream thingy my DH got me. There by weight watchers.

Made up a small plate of items. I love to eat like this

Having 4 slices of ham, each 2 slices are wrapped around 1/2 slice of Provolone cheese. 4 large kalamata olives. 1/4 c. mixed giardiera (it's crunchy raw veggies in a spicy vinegar and only 5 calories for 1/4 c. and I'm not bothering to count it).

Total so far: 318 calories.

Smiling at all the oatmeal mentions!
I oatmeal, and missed it so much on L/C.
I make it like sohappy does..1/4 cup oatmeal, salt and walden farms caramel syrup.
On an upday I make it with soy or almond milk...on a DD water..unless I have spare calories.
I stick to a 1/4 cup on DD/UD...simply because I have no control over oatmeal...it is my kryptonite!

Well today was meant to be an UD...started off well enough...but then there was some confrontation between DH & DS (both lovely guys, both strong willed...and neither like to accept that there is any point of view but their own!). I, as usually ended up piggy in the middle...and for me that means my tummy gets tied in knots
By the time I had smoothed things out, and went to work at 5pm, there was no way I could cram in another 1200 cals...so today has been a MD.
UD tomorrow..hopefully a calm one so I can enjoy my food!
Funnily enough, my last MD was because of DS related stress!

My weird menu for today:

B -Tea & Coffee with cream, ounce of cheese : 183
L - 1/4 cup oatmeal & soy milk, 4 Beebs recipe gummies: 118
D - Cup homemade chili & spinach, apple: 503
S - protein shake, handful of twiglets: 253

Total
Cals 1075
Fat 44
carbs 67

Protein 82

Sorry about the DH/DS drama. That always suks. And I'm like you. I hate confrontation and get upset from it.

But, no harm done for having a MD today. Just do the planned UD tomorrow and continue from there.

Hugs!

My DD started well with 2 soya coffees until 5 pm. Then I had a couple of slices of corned beef. My plan was then to have some veggie soup.

But because I have a very social weekend ahead I changed today to a MD. I had a bacon and egg sandwich, lol. 865 cals, 40 carbs.

Bit nervous as yesterday was an UD. I must not worry if I have gained weight tomorrow. It will be water weight, (I hope).

It will be UD, MD, DD, UD, MD, DD.

I've never been a lover or hater of oatmeal, but all this oatmeal talk lately has me wanting some tonight

I'm going to save it for the last thing I eat because it's comforting sweetness and stick-to-your ribs quality might help me go to sleep.

I am just going to make it with water, but thought about a drop of vanilla extract in it too. Of course I'll put stevia or splenda in it (don't know which yet, I have packets of both), and lots of cinnamon. I'm even considering a splash of milk or few crushed pieces of nuts. I'm not sure, just have to wait and see how the calorie count goes. I have some raspberries or strawberries I could cook in it to try something different. Ooh, or maybe half a banana, squashed up and cooked in it. Hmm. Now I'm hungry again!

Way to go on the veggies, Kel!

I had a Pure Protein bar a few hours ago. I was out of my favorite flavor, Chocolate Deluxe, so had to settle for S'mores. It doesn't taste like s'mores to me, it's just bleh. Anyway, I needed something a little sweet and filling and those bars always fit the bill. They are 180 calories.

Total of 498 calories total today.

I'm not feeling the oatmeal now, so I don't know what I'll have before bed, but I'm going to try to go to bed early tonight.

I did end up eating more- I got hungry and a late dinner sounded good. Had a bowl of chili with crushed crackers on top and a small plate of green beans w/bacon. For dessert, I had a diet swiss miss.
