Thinking of starting up... I like the idea of this program. Who can`t stay on plan for ONE day!!!
The following is my calorie requirement. Which do I take my 25% for my down days from?

Also, if I understand correctly, you don't have to count on UD, just be reasonable?
And you can use whatever percent you feel comfortable with. For some of us, it's 20% and for others, it might be 35% or more. Obviously, the fewer calories you consume on your fasting day, the better it goes for weight loss and to trigger the SIRT1 *skinny gene* and etc. etc. etc. all the health benefits.
Welcome to JUDDD! Glad to have you with us. It's a lot of fun to be on a successful weight loss diet and at the same time, be able to eat anything in the world, party, enjoy holiday tables spread with feasts, and somehow be combining those two sides of weight management in such a way that it all works! :laugh:

And I need to point out what Pat did: Your UD calories seem a little low to me.
I did 700 and 1654 for my UDs when I started at 151 pounds. As I went down in weight my calories went down some, but not much and now that I'm in maintenance my calories are actually higher, 900 and 1,800, to keep from losing more weight.
Maybe go to other sites and see what they will say as far as UD and DD cals to see if you can find an average. The JUDDD site isn't always correct, we have found! :dunno:
25% of 1573 is pretty low for a down day! I like even numbers so if it were me, I would try 1600 and 500 for a week or 2 and see what happens. But I'm no JUDD expert since I've only done this a week! Welcome! The peeps in here are so nice!
