i'll join ya all since i love to exercie. i am doing the tracy anderson method and am on my continuity level 3 now. I also do a short episode of classical stretch. i feel so good and motivated when finished.

ya, but as a under treated thyroid person I really relied on the energy drinks to give me 'energy.'
This makes me feel good. I have some semblance/control over my health. All I need now is the right Dr to hook me up with the right meds so I can get over this hurdle and on with my life!! |

Very wise Kelly.
I just wondered because my daughter (who has Down's) has a Lesley Sansone DVD and I thought she might be able to use it to walk outside, if I could get the sound over to her ipod in some way. But it may not be suitable for using out of doors? Yes Betty, that would be different. Hope you find that doctor soon. Welcome Traceym1, good work. I should stretch more. Must put that right. Did Jillian Michaels's 30 Day Shred Level 1 Day 1 today. For the program, you are supposed to do it every day for 30 days (10 days at Level 1, 10 days at Level 2, 10 days at Level 3), but I am only going to do it every other day, on UDs. Hopefully I will stick to it for the whole 60 days (30 days of workouts)! I enjoyed it, and it was nice to feel tired and sweaty from 20 minutes of work. (walking and sprinting, which is what I've been doing lately mostly, make me feel good and worked out, but in different ways that constant aerobic/weight training).

I went for a nice long walk today...put on some Johnny Cash, cuz that boom-chicka-boom is SUCH a good steady beat for walking! I walked for 68 minutes...longest walk (or any kind of exercise) I've done in at least 2 years. Today was such a gorgeous day, it made me feel kinda crazy!!! I wanted to run around and scream and cry and jump off a cliff and fly like a bird!!!

Avery I am starting 30 day shred tomorrow. Was going to start it today but was afraid to do it on a DD for my first day. I was going to try it daily. I think if I can get my butt up first thing in the morning before the kids wake up and do it on an empty stomach it won't matter if it is a DD or an UD. I will just make sure to have some protein in the morning to recover.
We can be Shred buds. I am also curious cuz the cover to the CD says lose 20 lbs in 30 days. That would be awesome! |

Whatever works!
I am so glad to see so many of us moving around. Not only is it good for our weight loss, it's just good overall. It gives us a little "juice in the joints" so to speak. ![]() 50 minutes on the elliptical today. I am getting another shot in my heel this afternoon for my plantar fasciitis. I sure hope it works this time. |

LEAVES!!! Mowing, blowing, raking, picking up and dragging a full tarp full, over and over and throwing them down the hill into the woods, planting more bulbs and putting up Fall decorations. Like Dottie says, "DD energy"!!!

long looooong walk today. i started out doing hour long walks on DDs, then moved to more like 2 hours. today i got myself (gently) lost on purpose and found my way out (one of my favorite things to do), but i didn't get home until 2 hours and 45 minutes after i left! 10.2 miles overall, according to mapmyrun.com, and 859 cals, according to caloriecount.com. whew! listened to the 8 new planet money podcasts i had let pile up, and am feeling *very* informed about economics.
