Some observations

Ok started JUDDD last week and so far so good. I started at 204 and was 199 for a day then after an UD then a down day 200. Yesterday was an UD and I had 2 beers and some snacks at a party. Today 203.5.

So my day started out with a 5km walk/run. Felt good and haven't had anything to eat as of yet. It is going to be a strict day today. My hands a little swollen leading me to believe to much sodium and retaining water. I will give it 2 more DD before I step on scale again. If I am not under 200 I will need to readjust my calories.

My DD are perfect no issue. My UD were 2 out of 3. But not really justifying the weight gain.

Anyways I am loving dOwn days and up days make me nervous.

Totally normal. Your weight will jump around a lot. I only count weights after a DD to keep myself sane. I am sure it's just water and a good DD or two will have everything back in order. Give it time. :-) As long as the general trend is downward you should be ok. How many cals on your DDs?

2243 UD
448 DD

I am doing 480 DD. Its funny because I was just about to jump in the shower and said I will weigh myself one more time and I am 201. So strange, but glad to be on a DD.

Woo Hoo! That weight is dropping off you fast these last few days!

And yes, completely normal and expected and crazy to have huge bounces up and down on this plan. It's only something to be alarmed about if it doesn't happen! LOL

But think about it. You're going through a feeding period of little food, so your gut will not fill with much on Monday. Then on Tuesday, you're going to have a big feeding day, so your belly will fill with a lot of food. Then on Wednesday, your day will pass with you holding to your near-fasting level of calories, before having Thursday's lavish and full meals again. So that famine/feast/famine/feast alternation will reflect on the scale too.

I don't weigh often. When I feel lighter and it is after a DD, I will go for it.
:)

Dr. Johnson says in his book to only weigh after every 6th DD.

I'm a daily person myself.
