EGGNOG!!!

YES!!!:clap: I just realized tonight that I can now have REAL eggnog for the holidays instead of Calorie Countdown milk with Davinci's Eggnog Syrup in it to make it TASTE like eggnog!!

I'm so DARN :jumpjoy: about this!

Have you thought about what YOU can now have for the Holidays and if so, what will it be?

:goodpost:

On Thanksgiving - the mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, mac & cheese, and other casseroles, not to mention pumpkin pie and other goodies!

On Christmas - the full breakfast with sausage gravy & biscuits among other things. Also, cookies and assorted sweets.

I made an excellent, real eggnog last year... from scratch. Cream, CC milk, eggs, nutmeg and sweetener of course. It was so much better (to my taste) than the store-bought stuff.
But, I am going to make pies and chocolate chip pumpkin bread this year. Not that I don't adore my low carb pumpkin cheesecake, but I'm looking forward to pie.
I eat traditionally for holidays anyway, but avoid the sweets. I'm going to indulge this year though.

lol I think I'd use a full UD calories in "the real stuff". My grandma makes the best eggnog... little egg, lots of nog -followed by a nap lol:)

I saw pumpkin spice egg nog at the store yesterday... I may have to pick some up!

Have you all thought about what YOU can now have for the Holidays and if so, what will it be?:up::clap:

I haven't really thought about it tbh.
I've avoided holiday meals at family's houses since low-carbing since they don't low-carb.
I imagine I'll stick low(ish) carb for Thanksgiving, maybe make a stuffing with the coconut flour biscuits (should work fine!).
Desserts may be on the menu though. I make a really great chocolate fudge pecan pie that I haven't made in years:) Now I have to find the recipe lol.

i wasn't dieting last year at thanksgiving/christmas so not feeling too deprived, but glad there will be no stress anyway!

i have to say i share your enthusiasm for real egg nog, and DRESSING (with sausage and bread) !! my favorite food, holiday or not!!

and pumpkin anything is my favorite too, even though i love the SF pumpkin cheesecake, real pie will be nice too!

now i'm HUNGRY! lol!
