Definately not!
I know where you are coming from...but the calorie number you are looking for on those sites is the number given for maintainance....that low number is for the poor dieters who have to do those cals everyday to lose.

for us, our DD cals take care of our weightloss!

I generally do my P4s the same as P3 since I don't handle carbs well. But if you're up for it, I think it's good to do. Maybe I should have headed straight into JUDDD rather than P3/P4 - because I had to do 8 correction days.

Welcome to JUDDD and best of luck to you! I just started a week ago for similar reasons (I have done LC for over a year and have been stalled for ages). I really like it, so far...and I'm so excited to see where this plan can take me...! And it is FUN too, cause you can eat the things you missed if you want to!

I originally thought that I'd keep it low carb...but then decided to try some moderate carbs and see how it worked, and see what it did to my blood sugar, too. So far so good! I've had fruit and I've had bread, sushi, and even tortilla chips (on various up days) and still lost 5 pounds!

While I am still a little carb phobic, I am becoming a bit less scared of them than I was a week ago!

I look forward to seeing your progress.

That's what I am looking for the guilt free.
And to shock my system..

Idream I did the hcg for a month then totally went off that plan and lc (which I have been doing for yrs) To not even thinking about food, cause I was focusing on not smoking anymore..
I am trying this to see how my body works right off of induction..

I am cutting loose, and trying not to fear foods..I have lc ingrained in my skull and its been that way for yrs..
I am looking at it as this hey...If it dont work -it dont work, I can go back to lc.
If it works!!! I can go on not feeling bad if I want something that is not lc friendly. *Cough cough such as a glass of red wine, or a slice of pie cough*
Two wks thats what I am putting into it...
You know what my system is already feeling better, believe it or not.

Maybe just maybe my hormones will get in check cause that has been off to and it starts as soon as I start inducting on lc.
Maybe I have been doing my bod wrong all these yrs?????

Well I am going to finish the HCG because I am stubborn. I have the I paid for it and I had better use it attitude. Plus I am having success but I really dont want to go back to LC which I see P3 is for the most part ( with the exception of fruit). I will do at least three weeks in P3 to stablize my weight. Then I am coming to JUDDD. I know its very possible that it could take me 2 weeks on JUDDD after the three weeks on P3 to get back down or start losing again and thats okay. I just dont want to get back above 117.0.( once I get there that is)!! LOL But I do love how supportive this board is. I mean without me even doing JUDDD yet yall were already welcoming me and not just one person but several!!

I did two rounds of hhcg very successfully. On my last round I did P3 for three weeks, and then jumped on JUDDD about eight days into P4. I was ready for a change. I am loving JUDDD and under my LDW. Looking forward to having you on our forum!

First ! I'm a little behind on the boards but so happy you are trying JUDDD.

And I agree with Pat! You DON'T want LESS on your UDs, you want more to loss on your DDs and to keep you full on those DDs, too. I would say your UD calories do seem a bit high in your other postings, but I would just lower them by a couple 100 or so and see what happens NOT cut them in half. JUDDD is a science, and like any science it has a formula that needs to be followed.

And when it's followed as suggested it turns into something MAGIC!

Hi Jo

May I join? I would like to officially start this today.

My goal is to lose 7 lbs and low carbing for 10 years have left me with a 1 yr stall. Bobbing up and down 3 lbs (147-150) has me thinking my body needs to wake up.

From the success on this WOE and happiness that radiates, I hope to be successful as well.

I'm 5'7" and 51 yrs old and glad to meet y'all.

I don't think LC was unhealthy...I just think that there is more than one way to skin a cat, if you know what I mean (and really, I don't want to hurt any cats...love them!).

Strangely I feel normal eating this way too. I was convinced that carbs were responsible for feeling bad (no energy, etc) but...maybe it was the WEIGHT that I lost already that was responsible for that. I still think that the carbs were partially responsible for the weight, but losing so much of it seems to have brought my insulin resistance down immensely. My blood sugars seem to react normally to foods now, which is probably why I feel different reintroducing carbs now than I would have, say 1 year ago.

I am a bit confused still...but hey, if this works..man, what a relief. It does make me happy that there is a possibility that I don't have to stop eating EVERYTHInG carby forever. It would be so nice to be able to enjoy food without guilt again. *CROSSES FINGERS FOR US bOTH THAT THIS WORKS AND GETS US TO GOAL!!*

Wow! Thank you for the warm welcomes!

On my way into work this morning, I stopped at grocery store to start my DD tomorrow. I got a bag of fresh spinach, Walden's zero-calories Ceasar Dressing, Purdue Short Cuts chicken, Healthy choice turkey lunchmeat and Pepperidge Farm 45 cal bread and low cal soups.

I have a lot of learning to do and with all the threads, I should be able to grasp it fast. I was actually excited leaving the grocery store for a change!

Jo - Is this your UD or DD today? This will be my UD as it tis DAY 1

Hi Everyone!!

Another wanna-join-er here...

A little background about me...

I started LC several years a go. I was over 330lbs, possibly way over cause at that time the scale I brought only went up to 330 and when i stepped on it the first time...it read.."error"..

Well, being in denial as I certainly was,...I immediately took that scale right back to wally-world, walked up to the the courtesy desk and boldly announced.."I want a replacement, as this scale is defected"... A replacement / exchange was given and i went home, defiantly once again, stepping on the "new" scale...and guess what?...*ERROR* again...

It was then that i to my horror had to face the hard cold truth that i was over 330-pounds... Anyway, after 2 weeks of strict and i mean strict low carbing, I almost cried from joy when I stepped back on that scale and it read 329.5!! How much had I initially loss? well I'll never know and it did not really matter cause at least i had a real starting point and I was definitely on my way...

Anyway, fast forward,....after what i call "obsessive" low carbing and exercising, i lost down to 190 within a year and a half. That's where I stayed bouncing between 190 and 200 for a LONG time. In "my" world, 190-ish was "thin", LOL The smaller clothes and on going complements kinda went to my head, which made me way too comfortable.....I eventually lost another 12-15 pounds within another year doing what i called LC-"my way".. I became what my DS affectionately termed a "low carb fanatic"... My kids suffered on occasions, cause if I could not have, they couldn't either. I was on my LC soap box and preached at everyone and anyone!! I became very judgmental in regards to how others ate, especially if they had a weight problem..

Soon though, I began slipping and sliding food wise. I no longer weighed myself either.. The good news is that I continued to exercise every single day no matter what. I power walked mostly and used weights several times per week. One time I actually power walked 10 miles in one day . My usual was 4-5 miles though. I honestly believe that had it not been for my consistency with exercise, my re-gain would have been so much worse. So for that alone, I'm thankful...

Due to many stressful factors, but mainly, stuffing my mouth on a daily basis, i slowly regained a solid 20 pounds over the last 12 months...I'm a Nurse, and i basically live in baggy scrubs, so the re-gain was not immediately noticeable. It was not until I went to put on a pair of my favorite jeans that it hit me..They were snug, way to snug for me to wear in public. I am SO glad that i got rid of all my former clothes, cause I knew i had to get myself back on track asap, or eventually I'd have nothing to wear... The scale came out of the closet and i was both angry and ashamed with myself for putting on those 20 pounds...It was not water weight,..no it was pure fat...

I been back on track LC wise now and have lost 9 of the 20 gained. Its much much harder for me to strict LC this time around. I find myself always hungry and IMHO, eating way too much meat, eggs, cheese, pork rinds daily, just because "i can"... I want to get the weight off and finally reach my goal which is around 160. I feel that JUDDD would be better for me because i want to eat healthier and include foods such as fruits and grains and so on...without feeling bad. I also want to be able to enjoy some of the up coming holidays with my family and friends without beating myself up mentally for having a little of this-or-that. I don't want that all-or-nothing mind set. I want to have balance in my life food wise and after reading the info here, i feel JUDDD can offer me just that...

I brought some of the Atkins shakes, so gonna try those on my DD. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!!
ps: sorry this was so long...

Thanks..
