DD for me

Breakfast: coffee mixed with swiss miss diet cocoa
Morning Snack: EAS Carb advantage shake
Lunch: Romaine lettuce, red peppers and cucumber salad with Trader Joe's Ranch dressing
Afternoon Snack: another EAS CARB Advantage shake
Pre-Dinner (hehe, i worked at 6am so it is a long day) two fat free hebrew national hot dogs, diced up and sauteed with onion
Dinner: gonna make right now and the plan is to make a spaghetti sauce with zucchini, onions and mushrooms and some diced petite canned tomatoes and seasoning and serve over shirtaki noodles with a tablespoon of shredded parmesan.

that puts me at 512 calories

They were like deviled eggs, but I only used one yolk, and 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese. So the cottage cheese tasted pretty much like plain cottage cheese (which I actually do like). I boiled them before I left for work, so it was a quick meal to have when I got home.

That's pretty interesting. I like eggs, and I like deviled eggs, and I like cottage cheese. But I would just never have thought to put the cheese into eggs.

I'll give it a try.

I am confused in my theads again...but in one conversation I was encouraged to track my calories on my up day.

Jotted it down and Oops! I think I am way over...Full fat dressings and butter add up quick!

We will see how the scale responds tomorrow. I am committed to having my food scale ready to go for my next UD!

Had a little bit higher DD than I would have liked, but then I keep forgetting I can go up to 600 calories on them, not just 500.

1/2 c. beef & gravy on regular wheat bread, toasted
1/4 c. brown beans
1/4 c. coleslaw
can of Lite Progresso soup
2 RS NNCs

Total of 568 calories.

I'm kinda hungry, but I'm going to have some hot tea and call it a night. UD tomorrow and I have 2 chocolate chip cookies saved back for myself!

No guarantees, I sometimes do weird things with food.

Anyone remember pineapple rings covered with cottage cheese/cheddar? And a cherry on top? I fondly remember my mom serving us that when I was growing up.

So, still 0 calories for the day, and not suffering the least little bit from much appetite at all.

This evening, finally, I'll eat something to nourish myself a little bit, and to enjoy my evening with a little treat.

Supper will be an egg scramble made with 4 egg whites, 2 oz green pepper, 2 oz sliced mushrooms, and 1 oz onion

Later I'll have a bowl of oatmeal made with 1/4 cup dry oats, nuked in 1/2 cup water until creamy, sprinkled with a bit of salt, 2 teaspoons of brown sugar stirred in, and a bit more sweetening with Waldan Farms 0-calorie maple pancake syrup.

****** says only 213 calories, and net carbs of 27.
Wow, what a low DD you're having!

That's interesting about sniffing peppermint oil for appetite suppression. Once I saw these "inhaler sticks" at a HFS. You were supposed to take a big sniff when you needed, and they had them for various things like anxiety, concentration, weight loss.

I think I have some peppermint oil around from a long time ago when I was using it to flavor chocolate for baking. I wonder if the flavorings like that will also work.

LOL I remember that even from my own childhood, so guess that's been around for quite a long time. And also the canned cling peach half with the cottage cheese.

Yes, I remember pineapple with cottage cheese and the peaches with it too! One thing I ate as a kid and still carried over to this day is tomatoes with cottage cheese. Sprinkle on lots of pepper, can even mix in a little Italian dressing. Mmm.

UD for me. I went hog wild as a result of my doc appointment. He told me to get out of ketosis and just "eat" and so I did. LOL. Well he prolly didn't mean this type of eating!

So here goes. I plugged into ****** for grins and giggles as close as I could get (ate out two meals):

Monday, Oct 24 2011 UD (Weight as of 10.25.11 254.4lbs)

Brekky: Decaf coffee, black, no sugar

Lunch:
6 Medium Fried Mushrooms with Ranch Dip
3oz Ribeye Grilled with Grill Butter
1 Bite Sweet Potato, baked with Butter
1 Broccoli Floret, with Butter
1/4c Sauteed Mushrooms
Horseradish Sauce

Dinner:
1/3 Lasagna with meat
1/8 14" Margharita Thin Crust Pizza
1 Bread stick with parmesan cheese
1/2 Large Greek Salad (mostly lettuce) with vinaigrette

Daily Totals in all their glory!

Pooti - that looked like a delicious day, and only 1800 calories is surely well under your UD calories!

I try to keep my UDs around 1400 to 1500 (arbitrarily set), Dr. Js site suggest these totals for me:

Wow lol! For my stats: Female, 49, 64.5 in, 254.4lbs at 35% caloric restriction I'm still eating below my numbers! I am doing a 2 week induction phase though that I won't get to finish! But afterwards, here are the numbers!

DDs at 35%: 771cals
UDs at 35%: 2202cals

*snort* How on EARTH do you eat 2200cals of "good cals" LOL? Oh wait! Stupid me! 20% is more restriction than 35%! Doh! I'm such a Homer sometimes! Ok, so I see where it makes more sense to me. For my DDs I'm supposed to be at 440cals, but something in me just snaps shut at that so I will stop at 500cals. Then my UDs are sposed to be 2202 cals. I might do that after surgery while recovering - I might do closer to a 35% phase and see how that does for me! LOL. So yeah! So far, I'm still "within my guidelines and boundaries" Yay!
