Still watching carbs. I'm staying below 60g on up days. I had a corn tortilla this morning, will see what the rest of the day brings

Dottie, that's almost the only exercise I get! I need to get back into my Callanetics. At least this shows if your calorie # for UD/DD are right, you can lose even without exercise.

Thank you, Jeanie

After reaching goal, I will probably re-evaluate and decide to shoot for a little lower, but I'm not thinking too hard about that right now.

MY woo hoo is another pound down. Its really weird how it started for me. I lost 3 pounds over night when I first started then the scale bounced up then I didnt lose at all for a few days now that last two I have lost a pound each day. I have lost 4 pounds in 11 days. It might not be lightening weight but to beble to eat what I want every other day and still lose is pretty stinking exciting.

That is SUCH good news!!!

Whooo-hooos today: I weighed in last night .5 lbs lower. This puts me .75lbs below my original goal weight! AND, I kept my calories to 544 on a FRIDAY. (That's a pretty big deal for me given that Friday's have been my weakness the last 3 months or so).

I realized yesterday, as I savored my 200-calorie veggie stir fry over Shirtake noodles -- that DDs are helping me to appreciate my food more. I eat it slower, and I'm happier with less. It's simply amazing.

SoHappy, Beeb -- now I know why you all are so enthusiastic

I'll say this, Pat -- I am ONLY able to be so successful on this because of the knowledge I've gleaned from these boards. If it wasn't for you and others, I'd be lost!!

does NOT eating constitute a woohoo?

yesterday i was tempted by cupcakes not once, but twice! UGH

i am not a huge cupcake eater and on an UD or MD would not be a problem. But it was a DD yesterday.

My kids had a festival at school and they did the cake walk and they all won cupcakes and gave them to me to hold while they kept doing the cake walk. So at one point I had two cupcakes in my hands and I was starving.

then that night my daughter had a halloween party with girl scouts and they sent her home with a plate full of cupcakes and she hands it to me. man did they smell good. but luckily it was already 9pm and i had made it the whole day and was under 500 calories and I was not going to break it.

They are still there waiting to be eaten but I couldn't work it into my MD calories today. I want my corn chowder more then the cupcakes. Tomorrow is an UD if they are still around then I will have one.

But...with five kids I am really hoping that the kids eat them all today while I am at work and I won't have to worry about them.

Not sure if this is a Woo-hoo...or a boo-hoo.

I realised just how much weight I had lost, when I put my best bra on..to wear with my vamp party outfit tonight ...and the cups were so big I had to dig out my chicken fillets to make up the difference

Oh well, the temp inside my house is reading 21...so they will keep me warm when I venture outside

(and I still get to have "DD's"..of a different kind, on Judd!)

hugs
Jo

I'm so sorry! I can totally relate. My Woo hoo is I made homemade soup for the first time in my life using SoHappy's recipe and adding chicken and making a couple of other minor tweaks. I've had 2 cups and I am stuffed! This is a super easy down day. I was so proud of myself for making soup I had to take a picture. It's actually more like a stew!

That soup/stew (or stoup according to some) looks so delicious! I may have to make it tomorrow for my next DD. I'm trying to find "go to" recipes so that I don't have to spend alot of time cooking = which I hate to do!

My whoo hoo is having friends that have had no clue I'm dieting, in mid conversation stop and say, "Wow..you look skinny!" Yay!! Sometimes we don't see it in the mirror, but when others notice without you telling them, it feels awesome!!!
