You Guys are keeping me so excited about this woe! Seeing all of these wonderful Woo Hoo brags is really motivational and inspirational!
I'm particularly thrilled for all of us who have completely stalled out, often for many months, on other plans and are now in weight loss again! Yay for JUDDD. And yay for being able to add even a few more carbs back on this plan, because - frankly - I think that is often what nudges our brain into thinking it is safe to release a bit more fat again. |

Started JUDD 9 days agoafter LCing for past year and a half, met my goal last October and maintained until about April of this year, have been watching weight creep up a rate of about 1 lb/month despite doing practically zero carb, staying in ketosis...its like LC just stopped working. Down 4 lbs. already, but biggest WOOHOO is the amazing Turkey Artichoke Panini I had at Panera's this week on an up day! First real sandwich since August 2010 and it was so worth every bite

Whoo-hoo:
Spending so much less money on food! And instead of going to the store just because I don't have enough meat to get through the next low-carb day, I'm using up all sorts of odds & ends that I hadn't been eating on LC. Boo-hoo: Some of my ham went bad! ![]() (I super- ham! Like Ponyo!) |

It's too early to tell, but it seems that on Day 4 of JUDDD-ing, my appetite is diminished. It's an UD for me, and I could stop right now at 1,300 calories. I won't (because my UD calories are at 1,854), but I could. This is a who-hoo for me because prior to this week, I felt like I could eat a whole TRUCKLOAD of food and not be happy.
![]() Also, whoo-hoo for eating less food --> spending less money! Now I don't feel so guilty about buying my expensive grass-fed eggs and beef and humanly raised critters because they last 2X as long!! AND one more -- I kept my DD at 525 calories yesterday. That's a 200 calorie improvement over my first DD!! ![]() Whooo hooooo for all of us. (Also, tomorrow is Friday, which gets a wooohooo all of its own). |

Woo Hoo, Sissie! You're getting better and better at this FAST! I was such a poor JUDDDer at it at first.
But I do think I remember the *normalizing* of my appetite didn't seem to take very long before I noticed quite a remarkable difference. |

It's strange. I was like a ravenous BEAST on my DD yesterday, and started out kinda hungry this morning, but then I settled down. I don't know if it's hormones shifting for that TOM coming up, or what. But I am having a hard time completing my last calories for this UD, and I even ate 275 of them last night on my DD (overate!!)

Hi All!!
Well, I'm happy to report that i made it through my first DD!!! It was initially not all that hard really,...but around 8pm-ish my mind went to food. I had, i guess what you could call a case of "head hunger". I was flipping thru a magazine ( Woman's World - Holiday Recipe issue) and well, you can just imagine what all was in it Anything and everything looked so darn GOOD to me..I told my self.."there's nothing i can't have, just can't have it today"...and ya know what? it WORKED! I got up, drank a glass of h20 and moved on to other things. This morning i am full of energy and ready to go... Oh and there's a big juicy red apple in the frig that's got my name on it, as that's one of the things I been craving. Not brownies, cookies, chips and so on...but an apple...Now who would have thought ![]()

Enjoy that apple, Anna! I love apples and eat them often. And I'll have to buy a bag of good juicy oranges too. I've been hungry for them lately. Have a great UD!

I bought a Kabocha squash yesterday!
That might be more of an Autumn Whoo-hoo than a JUDDD Whoo-hoo, but a it's a Whoo-hoo nonetheless! If you haven't tried one and you see them around, GET ONE!!! Butternut and acorn squash taste like a(n overboiled) potato compared to a Kabocha!Last edited by piratejenny; 10-28-2011 at 05:24 AM.. |

Btw, love spaghetti squash too instead of pasta on a DD. Actually though for me it's in place of all pasta since I have to avoid gluten. But bought some miracle noodles - just waiting for them to arrive on my doorstep. I'll have another option.
