WOE: Maintaining on Juddd

I MADE GOAL TODAY!

Weighed in at 1/2lb under my goal weight of 135!

I was only 9lbs from goal when I started juddd...and its taken me 7.5 weeks to get there.....which i am more than happy with!

So..where do I go from here???
Do I stick with my 1800/500 cals and try to lose a few more to give me some "play" (I already look quite slim...and have a lot of my US size 8's that are quite loose...and am into some US 6's. I dont really want to go lower than that size...cant afford it!)

Do I try out the juddd maintainence level calories, to see if I can maintain nicely there?

I think I have been SO focused on getting to goal, now I am there I am a bit

I Have never maintained for longer than a year or so before...this time I want to get it right!

Hugs
Jo

Thanks!

I have dropped the last lb really quickly....
Its funny, cos for the first 6 weeks of juddd, almost all my carbs were from veggies...and in the last week I have been much more adventurous...AND upped my carbs a little...now at under 80....
In just the last week i have:
Eaten oatmeal twice ...first time in 6 months
Eaten peanut m&M's...first time in a year
Eaten out at a chinese buffet...first time in ages
AND had a bite of my hubbies iced cookie!

All on UD's, of course.

Obviously my body LIKES moderate carbs (though it hates wheat bran..lol!)

I really thought this would sloooow down the loss of that last lb or so...but was willing to do it,cos I SO want a normal attitude to food.

Instead, it speeded it up....our bodies are weird and wonderful machines....(mine tends more towards the weird...)

Still have a long way to go before I am completely normal about food...if I ever am...but if I can maintain my weight, and eat this well...I will be a happy bunny!

I am so very happy reading this! Congratulations, and I'm so proud that you did what it took, and are now standing where you wanted to be. I'm so, so glad you came over to JUDDD, and I got to witness your happy success!

I'd continue on your calorie levels for a couple more days to assess just what your body would continue to do at this level. Then maybe add 50 calories to your DDs and add 100 calories to your UDs and hold there for a few more days to see what that does. Rinse and repeat. Slowly add back in, adjusting a bit up and down, adjusting UDs and DDs a bit, until you have balanced yourself with DDs being somewhere about half of UDs, or even a bit more.. however that feels best for you. Cycling continues to be beneficial even beyond mere weight loss, so just because you've lost to your goal weight, you will continue to reap health benefits, both physically and mentally, by continuing to cycle calorie consumption.

Congrats once again. I'm tickled pink!

I'm so happy for you.

You will just have to play with those numbers for a few weeks like Linda did to find what is right for you. A few more M&M's...oatmeal 3 times a week???? sounds like fun to me.
