My daughter takes Armour and feels 100% better on that now. I'm just on plain old generic Synthroid, which works fine for me apparently. Do you love the Armour?

I like Armour. I have found nothing that makes me feel optimal, and fatigue is my biggest issue. It is one of the reasons I do not work a job outside the home.
I am so happy to hear that your daughter feels so good!

I wish I could be an encouragement! Most of the doctors are clueless. You have to do your own research, and then find a doctor that will do what you want.
I'm currently dealing with my general practioner because he will prescribe what I want, and order the proper labs. Hang in there!

That is me too, Marie. The fatigue is the biggest thing for me. But I just soldier on. I have had the thyroid people here on LCFs say that even I am not on the right dose of Armor. But at least I have it! They know much more than I ever can--and more than any doc out there too!!! Post a question over there and they will help you through it.

oh truuuust me. I'm a researching fool.

I'm glad I have this place as a sounding board because I think I'm starting to annoy my DH.

I seem to be in a hot bed of dohdoh heads around here. All the good Docs don't seem to be in our network

The doc who started me on Armour would not even accept insurance. She said it was so that she could order any lab test SHE wanted, not what the insurance company wanted. I paid out of pocket for my visits to her, and she was a drive away too. One and a half hours one way to see her!! Thank goodness for our health FAS account. That is how I got to see her. Now she no longer sees patients, so I am on the hunt for a new one, but am looking for one that will just keep me on what she started. I am hopeful that I can find one--this time down the road!!
