DD for me too...so yes, coffee (I actually prefer to allot some cals for cream, it's worth it to me) and probably a huge salad (like a grilled chicken salad, but mostly lettuce and veggies) and veggie soup. Yummmm. Dinner may be chinese stir fry with shrimp, broccoli and no oil.

Hi Michelle!
I think I'll use your idea of a big salad and soup for my first meal (hopefully I can hold off eating for another hour or two). Gonna get to the grocery store in a bit cause I'm out of raw veggies except romaine. Will pick up some low calorie soup too. Sounds like a great meal for a chilly Fall day |

I may try this tonight before bed if I want/need to... usually something "sweet" before bed helps me sleep better on DD nights. Addict posted this recipe:
Leo's brownie in a mug: I spray a mug with Pam (I use a soup mug which is broader and lower than a coffee mug.) I mix 1/2 cup of my egg whites (50 cal) with 2 heaping T of unsweetened baking cocoa (30 cal) and a sprinkling of cinnamon (those of you who use AS could add your Splenda, etc.). I mix it thoroughly, either with a fork (messy) or my stick blender and microwave it for 2 min.

Well, yesterday was supposed to be a DD, but...Bunco last night was filled with too many tempting delights.
So...yesterday became an UD. Today is a DD. B: coffee w/ h & h (57) L: either a salad or a turkey lettuce wrap Not sure what the rest of the day will look like. I like the looks of Leo's coffee mug recipe. Maybe I'll work that in later. I'll update later.Have a great day!! |

Mornin'.
I started on Monday at 150. Today I am 148! Yesterday was my first down day. I plugged in my down day food after the fact just to see and it came out at about 590 calories, and under 20 net carbs. I knew it was low, now I know how low, and I don't have to worry about logging it all the time. Today is an up day, and I'll have a hard time even getting close to the 1700 allowed calories today. I'm going to have a breakfast sandwich on a lc "biscuit", tuna for lunch and jalapeno cheeseburgers with avocado for dinner. |

Go speck!
![]() Your UD sounds scrumptious. I can't wait to see some weightloss. Right now I am just recovering from a binge day ![]() I decided on two meals. I seem to be much more sensitive to the cloying nature of fat since yesterday's low fat DD...going to need two meals to be able to the calories in I think. |

I managed to put off my first DD meal til 3 p.m. and even did grocery shopping beforehand without throwing everything in the store in my cart!
Feel like I'm learning how to get the most bang for my (calorie) buck on DD now L - a huge salad with 2 T. low calorie dressing 1 cup Amy's vegetable soup 1 slice Nickell's lowcal bread, toasted and spread with 1 WW cheese wedge (it got all melty!) ![]() I feel like I'm having such a big feast for a DD! The soup and melted cheese on the toast is hitting the spot. All this for just under 200 calories! ![]() Last edited by sophiethecat; 10-22-2011 at 12:17 PM.. |

DD for me...
I was getting my lunch ready ( bag of steamed veggies w/ 4oz chicken) when one of my coworkers came up to ask me a question. Before she could ask the work relayed question she said, "Wow, what a big lunch!". Yes, I guess it is big... and it is my DD lunch. I didn't say anything about how this will be the major meal of my day. : ) Last edited by Low Carb Librarian; 10-22-2011 at 12:43 PM.. Reason: Spelling |

I just ate apple and peanut butter.
![]() I seriously am close to crying because I love that snack and have not had it in 10 freaking years!!! I was either on LC plan or totally binging knowing that I was going to go back to plan. Meat or Brownies...nothing in between. Since apples didn't really tempt me I always passed them up when binging....but I love them! I am so happy to have the choice to eat moderate foods again...those foods not on the LC plan...but not binge worthy. Apples and peanut butter, I have missed you. I don't care if I ever lose weight on JUDDD. I am never going back to a plan where I can not eat an apple. I wasn't losing weight that way anyways. ![]() |

Just had 3 oz (estimate) of raw cauliflower dipped in a veggie dip called Otria Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip - Chipotle Cheese. wow, fairly spicy! My total is 277 calories so far. |

Followed by a little bowl of oatmeal...bliss! I know exactly what you mean...while in binge mode I ate crap...on low carb...meat and fat... Now on juddd...many lovely, moderate carb, healthful foods become "treats" to be savoured....what a pleasant, balance way of eating! d I feared, that given juddds freedom, I would go mad on crap....but I just havent WANTED to! Wonder what other foods we will discover? Enjoy! hugs Jo x Last edited by Joedi; 10-22-2011 at 04:36 PM.. |

It's 8 p.m. just had the other cup of Amy's vegetable soup.
These are my hunger times of the day (seems to last from late afternoon through all evening) and I am going to drink something and try to hold out for at least another 45 min. from eating. AND THEN... I get to have two 98% fat free Oscar Mayer hotdogs on one split slice of Nickell's 35 calorie bread, with some sauerkraut, onion and mustard, a dill pickle spear on the side. And with all that I'll still have a cup of tea and a RS NNC before bed! ![]() My calorie count for the day will be 517 total calories. ![]() |

After a couple glasses of diet cola, I wasn't so hungry and ended up only having one of the hotdogs!

Way too much time on my hands!
|
After yesterdays failed DD, I directed this day to doing a very tight and tiny DD instead to make up for it, and have done a great job. I'm at just 306 calories, not counting a few cups of black coffee. (I don't usually count black coffee.)
A bowl of creamy, creamy oatmeal (1/4 C oats in 1/2 C water, sprinkled with some salt and 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar stirred in. Very filling and yummy, and along with a a pot of black coffee, that held me most of the day. Later this afternoon I snacked on half of a huge cucumber with the seeds scooped out, dipped in 0 calorie bacon ranch dressing mixed with 1 tbsp of my favorite true ranch dressing. Then I added sugar free bread & butter pickle juice to a can of drained green beans to make a little chilled *3 Bean Salad* without the other two kinds of beans. LOL Tasted just fine. And a little while ago I ended the day with a scramble of 2 egg whites and 2 tbsp Eggbeaters.. the end of my Eggbeaters, and I don't know whether I'll even bother buying anymore. Sort of an expensive way to eat egg whites, basically. Anyway, 306 calories, which is probably about as low as I've ever kept down on a DD. And I'm not feeling any hunger pangs at all. It's truly wonderful to have that lovely lean-belly feeling and no accompanying hunger from it. How can that be? ![]()

Wow, you guys are made of steel! :-) I am easing back into DDs and am lucky to stay under 800-1000 but this is my third dd since starting back up on Tuesday with a 50% DD. So far I am at 640 which is pretty good considering I feel full! I had a pre-packaged salad for 210 (convenience store food was my only option while out working today) and apple slices w/grapes for 40 cals totaling 250 for lunch. I just made a huge pot of Chinese veggie soup for dinner w/chicken, bamboo shoots, baby corn, water chestnuts, broccoli and tiny shrimp. Then I added miracle noodles to fill me up more for about 160 cals for my huge bowl! Yummy. I am really appreciating veggies for filling me up on DDs. Like addict I am really enjoying fruit now since I barely allowed myself to have any before. It was just like addict described: between two extremes and no weight loss! At least this way I get weight loss and no deprivation...not for long anyways! Tomorrow is an UD. Looking forward to it. Maybe I will feel like exercising! I've been a bit lax on making sure I do that.
