Yes you can say that. I'm taking 1000mg Magnesium and a glucomannan powder jello (1 tsp gluc powder, 1 C water, 2 squirts SF syrup) before dinner to keep me regular. Your mileage may vary. I played with the amounts of both until I found a combination that worked for me. |

I don't, but I do see the odd person doing this.
May I suggest that you start a new thread asking this? Then lots of JUDDD members will see it. Or try posting in the April chat thread, perhaps? |

I can't believe my eyes this morning
Down -1.5lbs in 5 days - I wanted to jump for joy this morning.
![]() It has been soooo slow losing (and this wasn't just beginners water weight as I was down -8.5 since Jan. (or 2.8 lbs a mo.) already. So 10 down and ready to face the next 10 (I find incremental goals help me). I'm so thrilled!!! Somewhat surprised also because for my down day yesterday I ate over my 500 cal limit - eating more like 800 cals (all chicken and veggies). But I was feeling weak after an hour long pilates workout and felt like I needed to listen to my body and eat a little more. The other two down days I did stay at 500 cals though. Thanks for all the nice welcome notes also. What a wonderful site I stumbled onto! You guys are GREAT. ![]() |

Introduction
I stumbled across JUDDD and this forum about 3 weeks ago and have just completed my second week of JUDDDing. Starting June 2011 my husband and I did a round of hcg and started this weight loss journey. Now MY weight loss journey has been going for 31 years! I gues u might say I am a professional dieter. When I was 11 my mom took me to the Diet Center where I lost 30 pounds and reached a very healthy weight. That weight stayed off less than a year and I gain that +++++! I could really bore u with all the details of my journey but I will just get to the good news. Today I weigh less than I have in my adult life. HCG helped, but when I couldn't stand to do another round I looked for another answer. We did paleo/primal briefly then I looked at LC and that is when I found JUDDD. My husband is such a good sport and is doing it with me. In 2 weeks I have lost 5 pounds (the first weekend I went a little nuts baking for uds). I am looking forward to losing the last 15 to 20 pounds with JUDDD. I will be 43 in May and have a 25 year high school reunion this summer. I feel light and healthy! This has been the biggest battle in my life and I actually feel like I can and will do it this time!

I can so relate to your post in many ways.
I was slim until after my children were born but then began to perceive myself as overweight. In fact I was fine but you know the pressures. I am then guilty of being a mother who made her slightly plump 12 year old 'go on a diet'. That is the wonderful daughter who introduced me to LCF some 6 years back. Since late last year she and I have been enjoying JUDDD as a tool to get our weight under control. i have lost to goal, (only around 6 pounds), and beyond. she has lost approx 10lbs per month. With the lovely support your DH gives you and your positive attitude I think you will love JUDDD and glow at your high school reunion. And, more importantly, forever more. Please join in the Newbie thread. See post above, the quote below doesn't appear to be right. Quote:

Today is my 10th DD...so I'm going on 3 weeks. DD's are easy...and I am shocked at myself to say that! haha
I'm still trying to get a hold of UD's...I don't know how many calories I'm eating...but I feel like I'm eating tooooo many. My goal now is to get those under control. I went to New Orleans with my son's 6th grade class...and we took the steamboat Natchez ride Wednesday night...I had lettuce and I had snuck in calorie free dressing. They all were raving about the bread pudding...but I was amazed at how in content and in control I felt...I didn't even want it! BUT...the next morning...we went to Cafe Du Monde...oh THANK GOD it was an UD!!!! That beignet was the best thing I've tasted in soooo long! I'm not weighing because I've started TOM...but I did feel a skirt was looser on me yesterday. I just want to encourage newbies to hang in there 2, 3, maybe 4 weeks...I'm trusting all of these JUDDD veterans who have had such great results...it truly takes a while to get used to a whole new way...especially if you're used to losing weight by cutting down on carbs...that's been my way of weight loss for 14 years...I'm hoping JUDDD will be the way I can KEEP it off! ![]() The best advice I can give is read, read, read! Go through the stickies at the top of the JUDDD forum and take notes. Look over the down day recipe thread, and take notes! Study and ask questions, and then start. Make sure you go to the JUDDD calculator and figure out what your UD and DD calories will be. When you enter your stats, be aware that the default is in metric, so you'll need to change to inches and pounds if that's how you measure. We have a few family member teams JUDDDing right along. How wonderful!

Good morning everyone!
karinec, I just started JUDDD on Monday and my first DD was hard. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to do this every other day. Well I was surprised that my 2nd DD was great. I had no problems at all. I am on a DD today and doing well. Don't be afraid. Just jump in and give it a try. ![]() |

Introduction and a big THANK YOU!
Hello I'm Anna and I've been lurking here since the beginning of February. Like so many, I started LC, lost the 1st week, then stalled. After reading anything I could get my hands on about JUDDD I started on February 18th. Today marks 7 weeks and I'm down 12lbs-that's my intro. My thank you comes from all the brave souls that weigh daily and post it on the daily weigh in threads. I would get a little bummed at first when a bouce happened, but then would look at other's weight history and realized that this is "normal" with this woe. I see it said all over in this forum that the scale bounces, but for me, seeing it in the weigh in histories put more reality to it. You all really gave me the motivation to stick with it and ride the waves of ups and downs out- instead of giving up! I love reading here daily-you all have such wonderful personalities and are so helpful! I never really thought much about posting just because a lot of my questions were/are answered here already. You are a Great group!
