Good morning everyone,

Showcats, your cats must be so beautiful. The one in the picture is gorgeous.
I am a cat lover and have 8 of my own. They are not show cats but they are beautiful to me.
I've never heard of a Norwegian Forest cat but I will Google the name. My husband loves exotic cats and Bengals are his favorite.
Good luck on your first DD. I did my first DD and I found it tough. I had a total of 470 cals for the day.

Kissa, I was posting on two different threads and getting mixed up. I will stick with this one since I am new to the plan. It is normal to be so hungry the the first DD? I couldn't wait to go to bed last night so I could get up and eat something.
Why haven't I ever heard of a Norwegian Forest cat. I bet they are gorgeous.

Claire, you are doing great. Keep up the good work and keep on losing!

Hi Janice, I would love to have 8 cats! I have 5 right now - the Radgoll, Bengal, and three that are rescues. They range from 2 years old to 10 years old They are so much fun!

I did really well my first DD - had exactly 500 calories and spread them out throughout the day so I wasn't hungry when I went to bed. I wasn't hungry this morning either so I don't think I will over eat on my UD. I'm sure Kissa or someone else will have some advice about being so hungry.

Tammy

Hello,
so this is my first post. I have been reading about judd a bit, and from. What I learned it is quite amazing! It's pretty much how I want to eat, and what I think is healthy and normal. I have just finished my 3rd round of HCG. THe first round was made with a Doctor who didn't had a clue about anything, I was losing but wasn't able to stabilize. The 2nd and 3rd round went well, but still I have problems with keeping my weight down. I think it is because I don't eat enough, and I guess I also don't get the right amount of protein, fat and carbs. I'm sick of checking it if I have enough protein and fat and very few carbs. I'm vegan and eat mostly raw food, however I added in eggs back into my diet just for phase 3 of hcg and also cheese. but I don't want to continue eating it. I have about 15lbs too loose, but my most wish is too just stay at the weight I'm now. I'm 28years old. 5 foot 10 and 149lbs. All the fat is in the belly area ugh!!!
So it's been now 3 weeks since I stopped HCG, do you pros think it is okay to start juddd? And do you think I should continue with low carb? I haven't eaten wheat in like 6months, and I don't crave it. Carbs for me are more in starchy veggies and flaxseed crackers or buckwheat and nuts.
The calculator says 417 cals on dd and 2083cals on my ud.
I would really like to hear what the veterans here on the board are thinking.
Thank you!!!
Oh and sorry for my english it is not my mothers tongue.

Well done Claire/

Janice yes, early DD can be difficult. We recommend 500 cals for the first couple of weeks, and some start higher. Well done on eating so little, be a little easier on yourself next DD.

Hi Rebecca, interestingly, there is a thread about DDs for Vegans I just spotted! DD for Vegans

I am no expert on HCG, I have never done it I came to JUDDD from Atkins, and I almost immediately incorporated all types of carbs with good weight loss, no cravings and have felt wonderful all the way.

The real answer is, as always, that JUDDD doesn't care what you eat, it is all about calorie cycling. If you see a gain after initially adding more carbs it will be water and if you are patient will soon go.

By the way, your English is excellent.

Okay, I just posted on Sunday that in my first 2 weeks I went from 179-174. I was thrilled. I totally pigged out on Sunday and figured I might be up higher after my DD yesterday. I was SHOCKED to see 172.2 on the scale! that is almost 7 lbs. My body loves the 170's and I have not been out of the 170's since I started having babies. I have hope I'm about to glide into the 160's fairly easily and soon with this WOE! YAY!

Just FYI, it was slower the first week. I started picking up steam on my second week and now I think the JUDDD magic has kicked in.

Oh.. and all you new JUDDD buds, please feel free to venture out into the rest of the JUDDD forum and post, post away! It's YOUR forum too, so step right up one and all and start new threads or jump into some threads already going. Not as many people check into the "newbie" thread here, so your posts will definitely be seen by many, many more folks "out there".

I know for a fact that is a big contributing factor in my mood as of late. Just knowing I can have whatever sounds good and NOT beat myself up over it afterward (effectively nullifying any sense of satisfaction that food gave me and replacing it with guilt, etc.) AND seeing the scale go down... it makes me positively gieeful! It sounds kind of overly dramatic, but it really is life-changing in how we approach food, events w/ food, etc.

Hi Everyone, so happy to see so many people happy with their weight losses today. You are all doing so well.
I had my UD yesterday but had a hard time counting all the calories. I don't think I overate. Just ate to be comfortable and I hope I get good results on the scale in a week.
Does anyone know if there is an online calculator for tracking calories without joining an other group.

I love the people on this thread. You are all so welcoming and nice.
