Using Negative Words

Words have power and this is what I teach in some of my work shops. When we say something we send out a message that will bring back exactly what we said.

Example: Today I woke up and could say, "I just KNOW it is going to be a TERRIBLE DAY"! Well, it's heard as KNOW A TERRIBLE DAY so guess what will happen? I WILL have a terrible day! It's the law of attraction and it's at work every minute in everyone's life.

When we say only, not enough, or anything of words of this kind to the negative, we are telling ourselves that no matter WHAT we are doing, or how much weight we are losing, or how hard we are trying, it's not enough and THEN it is heard as "NOT ENOUGH, NEED MORE WEIGHT TO LOSE, NEED TO WORK HARDER". Do you see what I mean?

Try saying this instead of "I only lost"......say "I AM losing weight everyday, some days a little, some days a lot, some days just sitting waiting for it to happen, but HAPPEN IT WILL!! :jumpjoy:

Words have power so use them to YOUR advantage!! ;)

Linda, this is absolutely true. I am a Christian and the Bible talks about saying and thinking and how important our words are. :shake: I know that I have a tendency to speak negatively about myself and my situation. I think it's important to turn things like this around in order to make real changes in one's life.

I'm a believer. I've been there to encourage myself with positive feedback and pep talks my whole life.

I don't like to listen to negative from others, and I don't like to speak of it myself. It just drags a person's spirit down. I have the Desiderata.

thanx for this very timely as I have been hella-grumpy for the last 24 hours.
I can't change things but I can change the way I THINK about things!
