another UD/DD scheduling question...surgery date.

OK so have accepted upcoming hyster on Wed, Oct. 19th.
The 18th is a DD...I had planned on JUDDDíng right up to and then commencing as soon as I felt like eating again...planning a few days of protein shakes after.
Pre-op instructions say to have a 'good meal' the night before and then nothing after midnight, looking at the calendar I have a DD the day before and I am thinking that will be a bad idea. So should I plan a MD the day before, or do two UD in a row, or throw in a MD then an UD??
ugh so much to think about please help me:high5:
thanx
Nikki.

I would do a DD, a MD and then an UD the day before surgery, in that order. You body will need the fuel to heal after the surgery and you will not feel much like eating. AND don't forget to post in here asap when all is done and you are on the mend! :hugs:

Usually they say not to have any food or fluids after midnight of the night before your surgery. Sometimes the cutoff might be even earlier than that.

If it were me, I'd follow my JUDDD schedule right up to that final day. Then instead of having a DD, I'd make it be a MD, with a nice chunk of the calories left for suppertime, like your final supper, LOL, and then following your procedure, you won't be feeling like eating that first day anyway, probably. So that day can be your DD.

At least that's how my surgeries have all gone. And I always made sure to have a nice Final Supper to tide me over.

I'm with Linda...DD, MD, UD right before surgery. Your body needs to be in a good place for surgery. That's most important. Maintaining your JUDDD schedule should be secondary. This isn't a race. The weight will come off with JUDDD eventually. Good luck!!

This is what I would do also.
