So...Where do You Hope To Be By Christmas?

Have started my christmas shopping....and started thinking about what to wear for the works christmas party! :stars:

Also started thinking about where I hope to be WOE/weight wise!

I want to be maintaining comfortably on Juddd...I am hoping to lose a few pounds under my goal weight by then, to give me room for fluctations.:aprayer:

What are YOUR christmas goals?

Hugs
Jo

Hope we get a christmas smiley or two, to play with!

I am kind of lucky all my old 2X shirts are getting well old. But I have a bunch of
1X that have never had on. They are just a little snug now but by thanksgiving
they should be fitting realy well.

SoHappy 10-04-2011 09:39 AM

Good idea for a thread.

By Christmas, I want to have made it through the leftover Halloween candy and the big Thanksgiving feast leftovers, and the early Christmas season baked goodies... and be able to approach Christmas Day being at the very low end of my maintenance range.

Beeb 10-04-2011 01:38 PM

Wanna be right where I am today.....somewhere in between 139 and 140.

I like this place!

Blondie15 10-04-2011 02:10 PM

I'd love to be in a size 8 by Christmas... and keeping to my new found good habits and staying AWAY from the holiday treats!

darlingnikki 10-04-2011 05:28 PM

 Good luck with this. I'll bet if that is your goal, you'll do a great job at resisting. And have a wonderful Christmas.

I'm definitely going to be working Holiday treats into my JUDDD Up Days over the holidays.

I would bet you will be in the 120s  but I can't guarantee the pony!

faithgirl 10-04-2011 06:55 PM

I would love to be down 25 pounds by then. I don't know if that's doable or not, but it would really be nice. I'd like a pony too, but at this weight, I'd hurt it.:hyst:

I am not sure if it is the losing 30lbs or just the JUDDD WOE but my blood pressure
has droped from 130/85 to 108/76 . So if I lose another 10lbs by Christmas I might
be able to get off my blood pressure meds.

AnnF 10-05-2011 04:22 AM

I just want to be able to say I've continued to lose weight-- I can't imagine I'll be at my goal by then at the rate I lose.

Wonderful news! I'm very happy to hear this, and I'm going to be hoping doctor thinks the time has come to discontinue any med for that purpose!

Way to go! :high5:

Rats! I can sure sympathize with you about being a slow loser. But you know what? I think regardless of the speed at which we shrink, we have to eat. We have to live our days. We have to buy groceries and fix meals and get our kitchens cleaned back up. All of this has to be done in some manner, so if we choose to do it in..... oh, I don't know..... let's say the JUDDD manner..... we will continue to lose weight. So if we're not where we want to be this Christmas, maybe we will be there by St. Patrick's Day, or by next Memorial Day..... well, sooner or later.

And, in a way, that's a wonderful gift to receive early this year. The gift of knowing you're going to be slim! Woo Hoo! :birthday::jumpjoy::birthday::jumpjoy:

Your BP sounds perfect btw...I am surprised you are still on meds!

But you are still losing and THAT is what counts in the end, even if that end takes a little more time than we would hope for!:clap:

I would love to drop 10 lbs by Christmas...

I suppose saying a number out loud makes us have to commit more so to it, right? I think anything is possible, but it seems our bodies sometimes have minds of their own about how fast/slow it takes it off. Consistency in staying on plan and working out 5 days a week, PLUS the dreaded staying away from sweet temptation are the keys for me! What do y'all think the key is?

FINALLY finding a plan that let me have the sweet temptation and still lose the weight! JUDDD has done this for me and then some! ;)

I'm glad to hear that your BP has come down. The last several times I went to my doctor, mine was high for the first time in my life. I have an appointment on the 24th and I am hoping I will have lost a bit by then and that maybe it will have come down, otherwise I know I am going to end up on meds. I did start cholesterol meds a month or so ago, so it would be nice if my cholesterol were low enough by Christmas to get off the meds. I don't know if it works that fast though.

I completely agree. I am done fighting my body on sweet things. Giving them up just makes me want them even more.

If all goes as planned, I will be at goal and wearing a very skimpy bikini in the freezing winter. ha ha

avecrain 10-24-2011 08:15 PM

Ooh, I would like to have hit under 203 lbs (which I think is very doable at the rate I'm losing), which will mean I am no longer obese by BMI calculators! That's a goal I'm pretty sure I can achieve, and I am looking forward to it! I am going to buy myself an iphone when I cross that line!! I would love to be able to see a change in my belly fat, too. I've lost 25 lbs so far and it seems like it's all coming off from my rib area. I'll take it, but I would love to be able to see a difference in the tum!

In my head, I am estimating that I can keep losing at the rate of 3lbs/week that I am right now until I pass the 203 mark, and then I'm estimating a rate of 2lbs/week. This is all arbitrary, of course, meant to help me not get too comfortable of a rate of 3 lbs/week... (though I have maintained this for 5 weeks). If this estimation is true, my weight at Christmas could be 193 lbs! Boy, that would be amazing.

sophiethecat 10-24-2011 08:19 PM

Hoping I will have been at goal weight for at least a month and a half by then, and happily maintaining... enjoying all the goodies of the season :)

2muchme 10-24-2011 08:37 PM

celtic fan: you are clearly going to be in a warmer place than me here in western pa. me? i'll be a frozen ice cube. but hopefully a thinner version.

i'm afraid to put a number in writing. but thinner

Me too! 25lbs would be heavenly, but I'm thinking 15 will be more realistic.

Hey Debbie, I'm doing 500 DD, 2500 UD's right now! Making sure to adjust with weight loss, but they've been hovering right around those numbers for a while now. I think my body really likes JUDD, the weight is slipping right off--7 lbs the first week, 3 lbs each for weeks 2-4, 1.5 lb for week 5, and 4 lbs for week 6! The fast weight loss worries me a bit, because of all the sites/plans/experts who say 2 lbs per week max, but at the same time, I'm definitely not complaining (and I'm following the JUDD calculators exactly!)

PS Thanks for the compliment! :) :)

stardustshadow 10-25-2011 02:52 AM

I am always afraid to make these kinds of goals, since they ultimately failed to work for me eating LC. I was always stalling and losing so slowly. I guess part of me does not want to say something out loud and 'jinx' it.

Christmas is 2 mons away. I would like to lose 6 kilos by then and be 73 kilos (160.3 pounds)- aka a HEALTHY, not overweight weight for my height!

It is possible but let's see what happens!!!

E.W. 10-25-2011 03:40 AM

I to am a little reluctant to set any goals in fact I don't have a goal weight posted just
the phrase "a lot less" In the past I would plan to realy get with the diet and lose X number of pounds this month and celebrate this decission with a 1/2 gallon of ice cream
and a few donuts. Still it would be nice to lose another 10 to 20 lbs by Christmas. But
I am doing this WOE without doing low carb so I will be able to eat at the Thanksgiving
and Christmas gatherings almost like a "normal person" and not feal so guilty that I have
totaly messed up my diet because on this diet I realy can have my cake and eat it too
just not 2 days in a row. But thinking about Christmas I keep thinking of that old song
All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth. But in my case it's those 2 back molers....
