Holy cow! I just realized that Thanksgiving is back on the menu!!

This year, Thanksgiving is going to be an UD! Not an "I'll just have turkey, devilled eggs and whatever LC dessert I made and brought with me," Day.

Ditto for my traditional Christmas Eve party where I make a lovely red velvet cake from scratch and try like the dickens all night not to eat any, but usually fail and feel horrible about it. Not this year. Nuh-Uh! UP DAY, Baby!!

Just wanted to cheer about my little revelation. :)

Yay juddd! I SO wish I had been judding in April this year! It was my 40th birthday, and the first time in my life I had a birthday cake! That three tier triple choc cake sat on my counter for a week, and I couldn't have a crumb!
Next years birthday with be an UD for sure!

Bet you can taste that thanksgiving menu already! We don't have it in the uk, but I will be enjoying all those delicious UD threads on this forum!

Hugs

Yes, that is one of the delights of the JUDDD plan. All of those sweet human celebrations of life that mark the special occasions in our lives are usually accompanied with feasts. JUDDD doesn't just allow you to eat some of the foods that weigh down the banquet tables, it helps you learn how to be able to. How to work food into your plan, your day, your meal, and not go overboard, and not go off plan, and not lose your way.. but to participate and enjoy and continue the next meal and the next day and the rest of your days, still completely on plan, as you were while you enjoyed that feast meal.

It sort of helps you learn now to not have to need to diet anymore. The foods you choose to prepare, and the lovely little tastes of this and of that are yours now. Whatever you want. This plan shows you how to have your cake and eat it too. Or in this case that would probably be pumpkin or pecan pie.

Half of us may need to do 2 DD in a row to make sure thanksgiving falls on an UD.
It sure would be the pits to try to do a DD on Thanksgiving. I have a bunch of clothes
I might fit back in by then as I said before I love this WOE.

Doing 2 DDs is not as bad as it sounds, and well worth the sacrifice. I am actually giggling because Yom Kippur (a fast day) falls on a DD and our planned T'Giving dinner (next Sunday) is a UD! To channel Hannibal from the A-Team, I love it when a plan comes together!!!

I'll toss in a MD if I need to so that t-day is on an UD. I don't do double DDs. (Tee-hee....double DDs...)

THIS ^^^^ is what I just did last week! I realized I had screwed up somewhere in my rotation and needs to throw a MD in there to make Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve an UD instead of the DDs they were going to be!

And double DDs? :stars::hyst::lol::rofl: LOVE THIS!!

A woe that could give you DD's...sign me up!
In my experience...weight loss woes taketh away, rather than giveth! :hyst:
