Linda, if you are too low on your DD calories, do you make up for it on your up days by adding more?

I think my numbers are 1800 and 600 but I have trouble sticking to them sometimes. It seems that if I have a great down day of 400 calories, it would be OK to eat 2000 the next day because the 2 days would still average out to be 1200. Am I thinking right?

I'm not even sure if 1200 is my target average yet. I just know that sometimes I'm a little under and sometimes I'm over. My average cals since October 26 has been 1180 and I'm down about 5 pounds since then.

Maintenance is complicated but fun

Just bumping to say I'm also having an "I can't believe I lost another pound" experience again, lol. My goal weight was 145# and here I sit 10# lighter, down another pound from yesterday's new low too.

I'm playing around with the calories too, to try to stop the weight loss.

Also, what was the joke with the grapefruit?? I just gotta know, lol.

This is my question too. Perhaps, JUDDD does allow for a larger calorie limit for some rather than a continuous low cal/carb woe. But over time, the calorie average needs to be at the burn rate for maintenance .

I am experimenting while continuing to weigh myself & my food daily. If things head upwards, I have my answer.

I also agree maintenance is complicated. But it sure beats figuring out how to lose weight!
