You Juddd Budds are so great!

I'm in such a good mood reading all these posts and seeing how supportive everyone is! I was a little nervous being my 1st DD and all but I made it thru thanks to you all!

Now I just need to figure out how to get one of those cool tickers & a signature!

First DD was a smashing success! UD was fun, didn't deprive myself (or count calories) had cocktails with friends. Didn't feel guilty about what I ate...

Today is my second DD, I planned accordingly and cooked my dinner to bring to work tonight...saved calories to bring a SF Chocolate pudding cup for a snack to so I'm not tempted to dip in the Halloween candy that sits on the dispatch desk. Last week every time I came in from a tour I would snack one or two mini candy bars...I'm sure that added up! So glad I found JUDDD! I think I can do this!

These two parts of your post seem like the perfect illustrations of how slimmer people think and act, and how heavier people see *it* and react.

You making the choice of bringing something lovely and chocolate and S/F and on plan to help you on your Down Day is another perfect example of how we can choose to NOT undo our weight loss, over and over and over again by poor choices, and instead just make the choices that will help us enjoy a slim and healthy future.

It's not that you can't ever eat candy. It's that you don't do it today, because this is a DD. And maybe tomorrow you will enjoy a piece of candy, because it's an UD. But, then again, maybe you won't. You won't need to feel the COMPULSION to eat it, just because it's sitting there, because, after all, you have a whole future of Up Days ahead of you. If you don't eat it right now, you can always fit it in someday in the future.

I'll bet you'll do well on JUDDD. Some really good choices already.

My signature, taken from a quote by Rachelocity says it all! THIS is why I LOVE JUDDD! I CAN eat the candy tomorrow if I'm doing a DD or right NOW if I'm doing an UD! I all in planning and how you see it! And YES, you can do this, you already ARE!!

EXACTLY! When I was on Atkins it was soooo all or nothing for me and if I DID have a candy bar the guilt associated with it was so much for me that I would just end up binging on other crap and say "I'll start induction all over again tomorrow"...it was a vicious cycle for me. I needed to find a WOE that I could live with...think I found that with JUDDD!

I'll bet you'll do well on JUDDD. Some really good choices already.[/QUOTE]
