Will be interested to see how that goes for you. Will you have something to compare it to? Like a regular JUDDD week and a 24hr fast on DDs week?
Betty maybe ESE -esque.

Yes, I have a week logged with just JUDDD but, it was my first week adding back carbs so it's a little skewed. But, I figure since it seems my body is signaling that it's fine with a longer fasting window then why not try it? After all it is really just an intensified version of the feast/famine routine that JUDDD promotes. Also, I had to adjust my calories down to only 350 on DD anyway due to lack of activity for at least a week. So, I'm interested to see how it goes too. Just listening to my body. Let's see if it's telling the truth.

Wow....reading all your fantastic losses is inspirational!

However....I'm on my 2nd DD and starving, so not ready for a fasting day....that's for sure! Need to get busy and get my mind off of food.

Sherrie, broth is a great low cal hunger stopper or even coffee. Sometimes I tricked myself into thinking I had something more substantial by adding SF flavor (like Da Vinci) to my black coffee. Or try some celery sticks if you need the crunch.

Hi Sherrie,

It took me a few weeks to get to the point where I even WANTED to go as low as I could on DD. That happened when I was 20-some days into JUDDD and realized how GOOD I felt on my DD! I keep saying I could FEEL the inflammation dampening, and I could SEE it too - in how my skin calmed down and my face looked kinda glowy. It was a whole body feeling actually, and I felt so calm, yet pleasantly alert.

I've been able to experience this the last couple DD by keeping the calories low, at least for about the first 16 hours or so of the fasting period (meaning from the time I go to bed on UD night being the start of those 16 hours). So if all goes well, I should feel the effect by 4 p.m. today if not sooner.

Anyway, I had to work up to this. I started with higher DD of 700 - 800 calories and worked down. I can go up to 600 according to the JUDDD calculator, but I try to stay under than.

Congrats on those reaching new lows and other losers ..be it scale victory or NSV!! I justed posted elsewhere that this is one of the friendliest, most supportive board on LCFs. No lie, I feel so inspired and to see the losses daily is incredible! Everyone is so it becomes contagious and brightens the day. I want to say thank you to all that are here. I'm so happy to have found this WOE. I'm learning how and what works for me to be successful..it's coming together. Hopefully I'll have a loss tomorrow after this being a DD, this week is tricky with TOM.

Thank you Lori and Sophie for the suggestions and support. I decided to get out of the house and go shopping. Took a whole ziplock bag of celery sticks with me and lots of water and it worked wonders. Now home at 3PM and will make it to dinner time.

I am so used to stuffing my face every time I feel even the slightest twinge of hunger and it's gonna take some time to getting comfortable with being hungry (and knowing I won't die of starvation). I just know how good I'll feel when I get in bed tonight and have had one more successful DD!!

Shari, we are a great bunch here aren't we? Why would we not be, as we learn that we can eat all kinds of food, feel great and lose weight?

Off to calculate my dinner tonight. Will report back soon.

Okay calories = 1,528, carbs I am guessing at 70 ish

128.2 today after a 3200-cal UD (!!!) instead of my usual 2500 -- DD for me today.

I've eaten enough gluc pudding to cause some tummy issues tomorrow, I suspect! Don't know why I'm so munchy today. It's not real hunger, it's mental hunger. I'm still surprised at how unhungry I am physically on DDs and UDs both. Weird.

We'll see how I weigh in tomorrow -- that will be my one-week point. I'm delighted to see the losses here! WTG, everyone!

Up a pound this morning after a good UP day. As expected really, it is natural.

Started my DD with the gym and have just enjoyed a bowl of vegetable soup.

i was looking forward to the kind of losses i've been seeing, but i did just got my period yesterday, a little late, and i'm sure that's affecting it! kinda cool because i've never gotten/noticed period symptoms before but now that i'm counting calories/monitoring weight for the first time, i can tell that i'm a little hungrier and a little heavier that special week!

WTG on all those losses, Everyone!

I'm BELOW my goal weight now!

And averaging my last DD + UD, it makes sense because I kept my numbers at the level they need to be for me to lose. I don't know why this is always such a marvel to me, but everytime I realize how it works, I just can't get over the simplicity = Keep my numbers at a certain level, I lose.

Hang in there Avery ... It's to be expected with TOM. You'll see those losses again.

I broke up with TOM myself, kicked him to the curb Went to the OB-GYN and he told me that my relationship with TOM was unhealthy and that we should break up. Once I agreed and TOM was outta my life, boy I was a much happier person. HAHAHA
