Thanks Mommie and Sophie, it does help. Sophie, I think I'm going to do the same for now unless it becomes a problem.

DD going well, so far I have only had a cappuccino and chewed on some sugar free gum.

My Vegetable Soup is simmering away and I have calculated it at 72 cals per serving if I get 10 servings out of it.

Betty my UP day carbs aren't supposed to be very high, I would have liked them to be closer to 2,000, but they are 1,669, and my DDs are 500. I guess that is because I am well within my healthy weight range.

I have to admit to having dropped my goal weight from 130 to 126 in the past month. I am loving seeing my bones emerge in a few places.

Oh my gosh! Everyone is doing so well this morning! I love this!!!

Betty: Don't even sweat it...I know you're hot on my heels. As for your question about getting to a high UD number, my thoughts are these: I think it's most beneficial to make sure your UD/DD calorie spread is as large as you can get it while maintaining the appropriate two-day average for YOU, that you can live with (think of your DD #'s here).

For example, say you want your 2-day average to be 1200 calories. Your UD/DD numbers COULD be 1800/600, 1900/500, 2000/400, 2050/350...these all average to 1200. However, the spread between those days would be 1300, or 1400, or 1600, or 1700. The biggest spread (and therefore, the biggest UD # ) happens at 2050/350. The question you would need to ask yourself is, "can I bear to do 350 on DDs so that I can have 2050 on UDs?"

Anyway, that's just my take on it. HTH.

Oh yeah, Betty...even though you say you're jealous that I'm in the 170's...i'm trying to squeeze my rear into size 14's at this point. You're in 8's? <faint!> Your weight translates much more beautifully on you than mine does on me right now. Gotta say I'm a little jealous of that. KUTGW, sister!!

Andrea, I like that explanation of spreading the calories over the UD and DD. Very helpful, thank you.

Such great people here.

Good work Chantyl, don't be afraid of the variations, as long as the trend is in the right direction. You are going to enjoy this!

ahaha thanks girl. being tall is good for a few things, like not needing as many stools and being able to get out of the obese range at a higher weight...i feel like most people aren't aware how much having a few inches adds pounds!

20 pounds is totally within reach though! you got this!

thanks for the congratulations everyone! next big milestone--breaking into the 190's!!!!

Avery! I can relate to the few inches and added pounds. Most of my shorter friends just don't understand that it takes me about 15lbs of weight loss before I can move down a size in clothing. You can hide a lot of weight in a tall package. But, I do love to be able to reach the top shelf for them when they need help.

Another tallish girl here! (I think I'm closer to 5' 6.5 or so but at the doctor's it was 5'6", so whatever, lol).

I carry weight very well, and do you know my Mom never "saw" the weight when I was carrying 30 extra pounds? She also doesn't see that I've lost it, lol. That's not to say everyone didn't notice the gain (thank you for pointing out the big belly, dear nephew - grrr!), but it was almost frustrating on rare moments when you had to explain to someone "I've gained about 30#" and they look back at you blankly, lol. Even my DH didn't seem to understand that I'd put on weight and I have to remind him how much I've lost, cause he doesn't "see" it or something, lol. But boy, I sure do!!!

Yeah, I think that's much of the reason I'm still feeling like I can't really see the weight loss in my body yet. It's coming off but it's coming off alllll over and there's a lot of me for it to come off of, if that makes sense! It is a little gratifying to feel like I don't look that different at 210 than at 240, so I did carry the extra weight well/sneakily and didn't look as heavy as I was.

avecrain,
your post made me think of the weight loss/paper towel analogy--

when you get a new roll of paper towels, tearing off 5 or even 10 towels doesn't make the roll look much thinner. but when you get towards the middle, the same amount makes a big difference!!!

I also know I tend to fool myself with how I look, so I couldn't see the weight loss when I first started because I had never believed how big I was. But pictures showed me better than anything else.

Yes, Paula, pictures from a vacation last June were what kicked my butt into gear with the weight loss! Those pics were my "wake-up call"!

Down another 1/2 lb is great! And you're right about the bounces not counting for much in the end. If you have your calories right, and if you respect your calorie numbers, you will be slim and buying a smaller sized wardrobe shortly!

Wow! Being 5 pounds down in just two weeks, when you had UD calories and eating every other day is fabulous! Good job! (I'd have had the biscuits at Red Lobster though.. even if it cost me some water weight!)

Now you're encouraging me to do the same thing. Instead of just being happy to remain within my maintenance window, I need to get myself really down to the very lowest weight of it. Heh! To make room for the Holiday feasts! I do NOT say no to pumpkin or pecan pies, nor to Christmas cookies and candies!!!!! Well, you know me by now... count the calories and don't worry about the water weight.

You're making me laugh. LOL You will probably be back up some after the UD. Most often we are down after a DD (from little food in our gut) and up after an UD (from still having a fuller gut) but as the days go on, each week seems to be down a bit from the previous week, and we get skinnier! I think you will too! Just don't worry about it and enjoy your JUDDDing. Respect your calorie ceilings, and trust.

I am just AMAZED by how wonderful everyone is doing with our JUDDD WOE!

It's does my heart good to see all the loses, and how everyone is just JUDDD!

I can remember first starting back in August and it was just a handful of us, now our board is EXPLODING with so many JUDDD BUDDDs I just can't keep up!

I'm just so for everyone and reading all the threads and watching you all enjoying food AND life again and STILL losing weight!

And the one other thing that I'm seeing, and as Pat pointed out in a post somewhere on here, is how we all seem so and supportive of each other and I gotta say I think it's the GREATEST side effect of JUDDD!

It just makes for a environment to be in and that is contagious!!
