I whole heartedly agree. To take it a step further..once I get to my goal weight, Saturdays will become a free day when I feel like it. Free of calorie counting! And Sundays will make up for that by fasting mostly but still a MD.

Ave- that is awesome!!! This plan is really going well for you!! And I know exactly what you mean. I had the same issues when I got down to a really low weight a looooong time ago. Everyone commented on how skinny I was, but I couldn't see it. I was 135 at my lowest!

Mommie22- can't say I'm not jealous..but that will be so great for you!!

I just remembered that the UD #s I'm keeping in mind are my for my current (goal) weight so yes I'm maintaining 145#, but I'd like to drop a few more for "insurance purposes" with the holidays coming up I don't mind being all over the 140s but I don't want to get back up too close to the 150s if I overdo some UDs.

I've found I can eat above what the calculators say for my weight (JUDDDs calculator tells me to have no more than 1702 on UD, and freedieting says 1627. But my last couple UDs have been 2100 and 1780. DDs have been real good though.

I'm going to lower my UD calories to 1600 this week (if I go up to 1700 some, ok) and keep DD 600 or lower (they've been lower lately anyway) and see what happens at the end of the week.

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

Wow I had an all out up day yesterday with my 2 parties. I ate about 2800 calories, maybe a tad more. I put it all into livestrong the best I could but it's hard figuring out prepared foods.

Well, the scale went from 113.2 to 118!! Now I really doubt I could have gained more than a pound of real fat but it was still shocking to see such a jump! I'll be doing a good down day today (less than 500) and drinking lots of water to try to recover from this. Maybe in a couple days my scale will find it's way down again. Lesson learned!

I might even do a mid day tomorrow to put my next up day further away. Maybe that will benefit me?

Don't bother. There really is no need to "punish" yourself on this. Last Saturday and Sunday I absolutely went off the rails, but I followed my usual pattern Monday on, and was rewarded with new lows after each down day. This is just how calorie cycling works. As they say, JUDDD is very forgiving.

Sophie ... congrats on maintaining! I am watching with interest how you are working your numbers for when I get to maintenance.

Julie ... just get back on your DD horse and you'll be fine. I like that JUDD is so forgiving in so many ways. Drink lots of water and you'll be fine in no time.

Don't let this water weight spook you, Julie. It was one day, and some folks here have discovered that an occasional "all out, whole-hog" day followed by a good DD can shake things up in a good way! Keeps the body working and guessing! If that isn't the case here, then no matter, just get back on track and you'll be fine.

Hi everyone, good posts, lots of happy losses and some like me with expected gains.

I had a MD on Thursday, a DD on Friday, a biggish UD yesterday and a planned MD today.

This morning I was 129, and I don't expect to see much of a loss, if any, tomorrow.

Wish me luck on tomorrow's DD. I love them normally but a friend who is going through a tough time has asked me to join her at home for lunch. I will do my very best to stay under 500 cals. Can cope in the evening by just drinking water I know.

Wow! Lots of MD company!! I love it!

Julie, I was there a mere few days ago. I got SO mad at myself!! But, life goes on. I, btw, did NOT weigh the following day - thought that would push me over the proverbial cliff! Nobody gains that quickly. If you ate party stuff, I'm sure it was packed with salt. Tasty, yes, but deadly for the scales.

I had a MD yesterday but I don't know what to make today. I don't feel like i need an UD if I'm just hanging at the house. I haven't decided if I feel well enough to get to the gym.

Even after my MD I'm up a lb
From now on I'm only weighing after DDs.

Super-quick fly-by before work...after yesterday's good MD (1137 cal...goal was 1150), I'm down a pound this morning to 180.4. The smell of the 170s is wafting my way.

Today will be a DD. I'll visit the daily board later to post my menu.

This was me yesterday. Today I weighed in at 116.4 after a very good down day of only 324 calories. I'm hoping after my up day today and my down day tomorrow, I will fully recover from my Saturday feeding frenzy!

Still maintaining 145# even after a "higher than I shoulda had" UD yesterday. Yes, the MD turned into an UD. 1,952 calories was the total, when it shouldn't have been over 1,800. Good thing for good DDs!

I need a MD today because I'm out of town, so I'll try to keep the calories below 1,200. Then I'll be home tomorrow and can have a good DD.

Oh, I ate an ENTIRE bag of popcorn last night. But it was Orville Redenbacher's Natural kind (30 calories per cup), so even the whole bag wasn't a killer on an UD

DD here. I'm up 2.6 pounds after my low of 126.6 yesterday. But that's OK -- I ate a lot of salt yesterday, although I stayed under my 2500 cals. Feeling good!

Successful MD yesterday and saw a loss of 1 pound this morning, 128 again.

This was to be a DD but I knew I would have a problem. Was invited out to lunch and the food was just wonderful and piled on my plate, course after course, (Swedish food, mostly fish). I didn't drink anything but water and there was no pudding thankfully but I will have to call this another MD. I shan't eat anything else today and will only drink water, tea or perhaps a diet coke.

Tomorrow is clear to be REAL DD.

I had a good UD yesterday but the sodium beastie got me again lol. Ah well. I knew it would, but lunch was good
It's weird but I have too much energy today on a DD where I'm trying to fast (broth, some celery in it for texture).

Changing today to a DD instead of MD. I really want to try to do this even though I'm out of town and my schedule is so different. But I want those DD benefits, gosh darn it!

And if I can have a DD today, tomorrow can be UD and I can enjoy eating somewhere if I go shopping tomorrow.

Tom started on Sat...and I gained a 1.5! It must have liked me...cos it is still here...134.25 today again.
Feeling really bloated today..more than I did pre tom :-(.
Oh well..I suppose it will be gone soon...dont you just love those scale bounces!
