thank you marie. he is glad to be home. still not much energy, but it will come. thought we may try a half a day of school but now i don't think so. but that's ok.

re the scale....since it's taking so long to get back to my low of the 22nd, i just didn't want to see that high number today. and i am NOT one of the lucky ones that ever loses after UDs. :/ that's sorta depressing to read when someone says they have a nice loss after an UD. LOL!

Today is a down day for me and I feel down too. I had a terrible nights sleep, I'm on this medication that causes terrible night sweats so I had that and some nightmares as well. I had to leave my bed and go into the spare room to sleep, I wasn't changing the covers at that time! Really enjoyed my up day yesterday ended up eating out which wasn't planned but fitted into my calories nicely. Also had breakfast cereal for the first time in months, I've really missed that...there is only so many eggs I can take!!! Have a good day everyone :-)

Betty, I understand the emotions of it all, I truly do. It seems since I started the hhcg the end of May and lost the weight I have been very preoccupied with health and fitness. I've been exercising too, although not excessively because I am basically lazy, lol. I struggle to find "balance" in not letting the scale dictate my mood or steal my JOY. I try to keep things in perspective, you know. It's a struggle at times. JUDDD is giving me some nice flexibility like the option of going out with my dh and just enjoying a nice time out, which is making my dh happy. It's making me happy too. I am not sure if this is a struggle for you or not, but, perhaps this will help someone on this thread.

Start Date: september 5, 2011
Left on Friday (UD) noon and drove 9 hours to my college in Vermont. Drank (lots...) on Friday night and Saturday day/night and ate lots of great things, off plan, because I've been juddding for long enough that I know I will get back on it when I'm in my routine again. DD on Sunday as I rode home, which was super easy cuz I was traveling and hungover..

Today is my normal weekly weigh in and...I'm down a full two pounds from last week's weigh-in. RIDICULOUS. like I lost this weekend. living crazy college life. love it. hopefully I keep going down this week! got a lot of compliments this weekend too, even though i can barely notice the change in my body. I guess SOMETHING'S working!!

I have to agree - and that is why I'm losing inches even when the scale is stubborn. Every other diet (including lowcarb for me), I never once lost an inch without the scale going down. In hcg, there is often "reshaping" in the maintenance period, because we've lost muscle mass. Just my thoughts...I'm happy with this WOE even as a slow loser.

128.6 after me DD yesterday. So only lost .2 of a pound, but down is down.

Started my UD with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and a soya late. Snacked on some diet jello and yoghurt.

Can't decide what to eat tonight as I am not hungry, lol.

You have just described me!

I worry that what I eat and what I weigh is a major preoccupation in my life.

I am hoping that when I have juddded a bit longer, I will be able to relax.

Or will the need to count cals keep me obsessed?

Its mad how a lb lost or gained can make us feel heavy and depressed, or light and happy...when nothing has changed in our bodies or appearance.

I am maintaining now...so I need to get used to those ups and downs

Thanks for sharing..it helps to know I am not alone.

Hugs
Jo

oh I try not to let it get to me. I am enjoying JUDDD and will give it more time. I also have to face the fact that I may not be able to lose any weight until I get my thyroid optimized. I've been maintaining at this weight for over 2 years now, lol.

UD yesterday so I am up a lb and I am sure having the majority of my calories late last night didn't help. Ended up not going to bible study because I had to much to do at home.

So had dh go out and get some Chili's to go and figured out calories etc. It's kind of nice because then you are not tempted to get something else, you pretty much get what you ordered.

So hoping to take off that pound with a tiny bit more after the DD today. I feel like I am on a much slower path then many others.

Hope everyone had a fun safe Halloween!

I am back up to my starting weight. I shouldn't have weighed in this morning lol. I didn't eat much at all yesterday(UD) until we got home from trick or treating. And I had about 2 cups of rice total, mixed with a can of clam chowder..
And a piece of cheesecake.

Im going to go read that thread about carbs not being my friend even on JUDDD

Today is a DD and I feel icky like Im getting a cold. grr

good morning.

i haven't weighed since friday before noah and i went to the hospital, was 135.6. after a DD on friday, 2 UD's on sat-sun, DD yesterday. i am 1.2 lbs less than fridays weight, 134.4. today is an UD. i will keeps carbs reasonable. i really want to decrease my carb sensitivity as i am afraid i have caused due to strict LC for that 3+ years. i believe in the benefits of LC, but i now want to balance that so i can enjoy some once in awhile....guessing it amy take some time? pat....you think that is the case?

betty...hope you feel better today and that yucky feeling doesn't turn into anything.

Hi everyone!

YAY SophieCat! I am so happy for you hitting goal!

I am checking in. This has been the craziest, busiest few days in a long long while. I lost track of things.

I did 2 UDs in a row because of birthdays...and had some resistance to wanting to get back on track...because then Sunday was a party and Monday was Halloween

So really 4 UD in a row. Two other problems was that I ran out of my low calorie coffee creamer and didn't have time to hit the store. So, I used HWC which kept each days calories high

and my scale battery died. I need that daily check.

The good news was that I didn't go hog wild and I kept pretty close to my UD calories and I only gained 1 lb

So battery has now been replaced, coffee creamer stocked and I am ready to go for a DD!

No change in the scale this morning.

My 4th day at 128.8, and previous 4 weigh ins were 129.4. You can't say I'm unpredictable lately.

I really have my calories right on both DD and UD, so I know something has to budge soon. My legs are a bit sore, and it's pre-TOM, so there could be some water retention going on. And sometimes I have my losses after UDs, so I will keep hoping for a budge.

Wed-Fri is going to be crazy busy for me, so I hope I handle that stress okay. Not used to working so much. Gets harder when you aren't in your 20s (and haven't been for ... awhile). At least it's so much easier than 18 months ago without the 75 pounds I've lost since then. No wonder I was so tired all the time.

I am back down(stats to the left), but, we'll see if I can hold onto it. Yesterday was an UD, but, I ate relatively light to account for the Sonic taste testing, and the halloween candy I consumed last evening. I skipped dinner. I am planning on a down day today and tomorrow. It's not something I will make a habit of, but, due to some upcoming things feel it is the best choice for me.

I had a big up day yesterday and my weight stayed the same - 115.8! I ate about 2000 calories which included going to Souplantation and eating salads, cheese bread, muffins and cookies! My up days should really only be about 1500 calories but maybe I underestimated that. I'm still trying to figure things out numbers wise.

Today, day 7, is a down day and I'll keep it at 500. 6 day loss = 2.8 pounds
