Had a good DD today: 400 calories. I was out of tuna in water so I just had more chopped cabbage alfredoish lol. Ok my rumbling tummy said that much cabbage might not have been smart But it was really good.

oops make that 381 calories. I didn't use coconut milk in the cabbage lol.
I also made a gluc dessert: 1/2 cup silk almond milk (17 cals), 1/2 cup water, 3 frozen strawberries(15 cals) and a pack of sunrise orange s/f drink mix and gluc powder to set. Tasted like an orange strawberry smoothie with more body

Had some hunger during the night but I told myself that was me getting smaller!

Starting my up day but have only had a soya late so far. I am not usually hungry in the morning.

Weight stayed at 127.8, excellent.

I dropped .6 and while that's good, I only lost 2.6 of the 3.6 I put on this weekend, and I am the exact same weight I reached October 1st.

Good news, I did lose a full half inch in my waist this week. Compared to four weeks ago at same weight, I am 293 total inches instead of 296 - so I suppose we could say I've reshaped a miniscule amount despite the naughty scale.

I've looked at my weekend Up day gains and it seems pretty random how much I gain. I've gained as much as 3 on 3770 calories and also just 1 on 3890 (those are two day totals). Looking over the past six weekends, it's clear I've gone over on Up Days every weekend whether a little or a lot. I'm going to really try this one to keep today and tomorrow at 1600-1700 each day. I hate the idea that every weekend I've undone a week's worth of Down Days, can't let this continue!

It is kinda frustrating to see the scale going Up and Down, lol. But then again thats how we are eating!

I've had 2 UDs since my last DD on Tuesday..I'm only up 1.4lbs. Hoping to be back by Monday after a DD tomorrow.

And Wednesday will mark two weeks!

I think today I am going to make it a MD. We are going to a Halloween party this evening and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to have a treat or 2.

Paula,

I am in the SAME boat as you are as far as weekend calories are concerned! I am going to try to do better this weekend. SIGH. Typically Sat/Sun have been UD's, with Monday being a DD. On Monday I will be a paid taste tester for Sonic so I need to make Monday an UD which means making Sunday a DD. We'll see how it goes....MUCH luck to both of us!

lol the scale is a pain. I'm thinking it's best to just weigh after DD's not every day! Save a little of the frustration anyway.

Dottie,

I am not sure I am allowed to say, but, it is a breakfast food and I'm really looking forward to it. The commercials were getting to me also so I had a hot dog, and I wasn't impressed, lol. I love the hotdog combo that Sam sells for $1.89, lol, hot dog and drink, what a deal and they are FAB. I have heard though it depends on the particular Sonic how good the hot dog is. Mine was definitely not a high quality one. I was talking to a gal at the last taste test, and she said she had a fabulous hot dog at one Sonic, but, not the other.

Figures about the differences between stores. we have 2 within a few miles. One is really good, fast service, food is hot and prepared right -the other slow, food is cold and usually the order is wrong lol.
DH could live on their chili-cheese coneys I think.

Well down another pound it sure gets old needing to update my weight loss :-)

Yesterday was going to be a UD which for me means I eat about 2700 calories but
I probably ate about 1500. And today well I realy don't look forward to today at all.
I have been trying to also keep all my eating in a 5 hour period ie. Fast 5 but today
I have to spend all day with friends and that means lunch at 1:30 and diner at 6:30.
So for the first time in 4 months I will eat outside of that 5 hour window and two UD's
in a row also. I sort of hate doing this but don't think it will throw me for a loop. I sure
hope not. But I sure will make Sunday a DD for sure.

That sounds so cool to taste test. I do a lot of mystery shopping and like to do fast food ones...it really helped us in this downturned economy when we couldn't afford extras like that (DH was unemployed 21 months). Come to think of it it still helps, as he makes about 60% of what he used to make. Kids love it when I bring them home after my obligatory bite - and I have one protein eater and one tot lover, so it works out! I have to say their hot dogs are great at our locals, all fresh and good. I wish they'd bring back those jalapeno strings as a side order, and those mac-n-cheese snacks. That's something I'd definitely work into an up day.

Most of our dinner dates the past two years have been mystery shops. Have to say, that's not so fun to get back from a date and spend an hour entering a report...but when it saves 30 bucks or so, it's worth it!

Dottie- I think I will save for weighing after a DD. But it's hard!
I'm doing it for science!! lol

I want to keep track for another week to show my Dr. I'm trying to 'present my case,' in the most science based factual manner possible. It's worth a shot!

After that I'll only weigh after DD's(maybe)

I agree! I am the kind of person who loves list and charts...and have made one for the 2 months I have been on juddd....and try as I might..I cant find a pattern to my losses or gains.

I have lost after ud's, gained after dd's...and stayed the same for 8 days!

I suppose the thing is, even if our fat loss was consistant...so many other things that effect weight arnt..full intestines, fluid, tom, ovulation ect.

Knowing that doesnt always make it any more easy when we see a higher number, though!

Have a good w/e!

hugs
Jo

Goodmorning, all!

Had a wonderful time at the wedding yesterday! It was a military wedding - including the sabers - just incredible!! And the reception? Grand Ballroom at the William Penn in Pittsburgh - if anyone knows. Great band. Great food!

Yeah, if you haven't guessed, I went WAY over my UD calories

Didn't even weigh today.....seriously?! So glad it's a down day. Black coffee is just about right here as I'm still somewhat fuzzy. Less than 500 calories should be easy today.

I promise NOT to beat myself up for going over yesterday - it doesn't happen very often, right? Enjoy the memories and move on....

I just know my head. If I see a big gain after an UD, even though my logical mind knows it's just water weight, it will make me re-think eating the higher calories. I'm my own worst enemy lol

There are those times when I simply should not get on the scale and today is one of them.
Even though I'd like to know what my pattern is, I am giving myself a break today and not weighing. After last night's excessive overeating dinner with friends, I know that's the right decision.

I keep reminding myself that the overall picture is important, not the post-UD weigh-ins. I will weigh on certain post UDs, but not this one!

I'm down a pound!! I weighed myself in nothing but my socks, and there it was on the scale I'm going to claim it, even if things might bounce a bit.

That's 3 pounds lost in one week for me, just like when I first started JUDDD!! (for those that don't know, I started around Oct. 12 and lost 3 pounds by the weekend, but the next week I screwed up by going waayyy overboard on my calories on all my UDs the whole week and gained back the 3 pounds. So I felt like I was "restarting" JUDDD last weekend, and I've had pretty much the same great results!

This was even after UD eating last night! I'm trying out Pirate Jenny's MUDDD as we are coming to know it, where you basically change over your eating day about 3 p.m. daily. So I had a DD yesterday and then switched over to UD in the evening. And boy did I eat! 1,172 calories just between 3 p.m. and about 10:30 p.m.! Had more pinot noir than I should have, but thankfully my body did not punish me for it.

So, according to my new UD/DD schedule, I'm still on an UD, but I slept in until about 10 a.m. and not hungry now, just sipping black coffee. I'll get the rest of my calories in and switch to DD later this afternoon/evening which I'll continue until 3 p.m. Sunday.

Im so excited!!! I was down another pound this morning. That 4 pounds in 11 days. JUDD is working and I love it. Granted I have alot of weight to lose but this is something I can continue to do without feeling deprived. Even if I dont choose to eat something, its just empowering knowing I can if I want to. Im looking forward to an UD today.

Sunday.
Good for you Sophie Im glad your liking your new JUDD schedule and its working for you.
